I could not be more ecstatic about [mc_name name=’Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)’ chamber=’house’ mcid=’B000589′ ]’s announced resignation. But in Washington DC, even victories are used as excuses to stop fighting, and I am very worried about that very thing this week. It is vital that House conservatives keep fighting to defund Planned Parenthood on the upcoming continuing resolution later this week. Both House and Senate Leaders are trying to distract congressmen from their vote to fund Planned Parenthood with “alternative strategies.” We need to keep the pressure up.

The only fool-proof way to assess whether your congressman is committed to defunding Planned Parenthood is whether they signed the Mulvaney letter. There are 34 members who have signed the letter. Now there are other members who are supportive, but for whatever reason they are hedging their bets. In particular, there are no conservative women in the letter, and on pro-life issues within the House Conference, they are looked to heavily on whether to fight. Here is who I would focus on today, and lets make this a national call alert into these offices. Shut down their phones.
