Hillary Jumps To Six Point Lead In New WSJ/NBC Poll

Get ready for the return of, “The polls are rigged against Trump!” calls when the results of this latest poll from the Wall Street Journal and NBC, make the rounds. Remember, when Trump is ahead, the polls are undisputed science. When he’s behind, they’re rigged like a three card monte game.

I still think we’ll see it waver back and forth but Hillary is in command in this poll:

Hillary Clinton is maintaining her edge over Republican rival Donald Trump despite recent campaign setbacks, but the 2016 presidential race continues to tighten going into the homestretch, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll has found.

After a rocky week of controversy over her health and for calling some of Mr. Trump’s supporters “deplorables,” the Democratic nominee leads Mr. Trump by 6 percentage points, 43% to 37%, among people likely to vote, the survey found. Two third-party candidates drew 12% support.

It is the first Journal/NBC News survey this year to focus on the opinions of people likely to vote. Among all registered voters, a slightly broader group than those designated as likely voters, Mrs. Clinton leads by 5 percentage points, narrower than her 9-point lead in the August Journal/NBC News survey.

Mrs. Clinton still is viewed negatively by a majority of voters. She faces broad questions about her honesty and is at risk of not drawing the levels of black and Hispanic support that Democratic President Barack Obama did in 2012.

There’s still eight percent undecided which is why Hillary and Trump have such pathetic numbers.

Voters were asked of their top concerns about each candidate (ranked)

Hillary:

  1. Dealing with Syria, Iraq and Libya – 36%
  2. Use of private email server during time as SoS – 29%
  3. Comment describing Trump supporters – 9%
  4. Recent health issues – 8%
  5. None – 10%

Trump:

  1. Not having the right temperament to serve as commander in chief – 36%
  2. Language and comments about Muslims, women and immigrants – 27%
  3. Praise for Vladimir Putin – 13%
  4. Not releasing his tax records – 6%
