Considering the mess the country is currently in – a mess that no candidate currently running really seems serious about addressing – one would think that the campaigns and the media’s coverage of them would turn to the key issues of the day. These issues would include: the economy, terrorism, and the rise in racial tensions across the country. Is that what we got when Barack Obama campaigned with Hillary Clinton today? Of course not.

While hitting presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump in an aside in his speech from Charlotte, N.C., President Obama suggested that his daughter, who turned 15 last month, uses Twitter.

“Everybody’s got an opinion, but nobody actually knows the job until you’re sitting behind the desk,” he said. “Everybody can tweet, but nobody actually knows what it takes to do the job until you’ve sat behind the desk. I mean—Sasha tweets, but she doesn’t think that she thereby should be sitting down at the desk.”
