Audit of Bloomberg's Everytown School Shooting Claims Reveals A Load of... Well, You Know

Everytown for Gun Safety is a Mike Bloomberg-run group that is forever trying to get gun control legislation passed. The Huffington Post ran a story on Everytown’s claim, uncritically I might add, that there have been 200 school shootings since Sandy Hook, which have taken 26 lives.

Our friends over at our sister site, Bearing Arms, have audited Everytown’s claims and have found (shockingly) that the situation is certainly not what they claim.

Everytown’s claim is stunning… and not remotely credible.

Based on pastdebunkings of Everytown’s faked school shooting report, we decided that it was time to take a hard look at the claimed school shootings, most of which Everytown lists here (PDF) hoping that no one looks too close at the data.

Let’s take a look at those claimed events, shall we?

As gun control groups are always using the term “commonsense,” we’ll use the following definition of  school shooting: a school shooting is an on-campus attack with firearms against the faculty, staff, or students that occurs on a school campus during school hours or during school functions. We’ll also include attacks on college students in and near their on-campus dorms.

Their full audit of every so-called school shooting can be found here.

Everytown’s liberal, gun-control agenda is not based on fact, but emotional reaction to every time someone pulls a trigger. They have to lie about what is a school shooting in order to make their case. It’s not just sad, it’s infuriating. They want to change what the Constitution guarantees based on a lie.
