Donald Trump took time out of his vacation to send out a very pointed message to the Senate Majority Leader over his surrender on health care reform, and slow movement on tax reform/cuts.

This comes after a story from yesterday, citing Mitch McConnell as saying Trump’s expectations for Congress were too high.

It’s easy to understand the president’s frustration here, as that is exactly what Mitch McConnell has also been telling conservative activists since he first took over the Senate. McConnell is now finding himself at odds with a Republican president, conservative activists and, if the stories can be believed, even grumbling moderate Republicans in Congress.

It’s time for him to step down.
