The View‘s Meghan McCain agrees with many conservatives that Greta Thunberg was the wrong choice for TIME ‘s Person of the Year. She made her own suggestion on Thursday’s show  – the whistleblower whose information about Trump’s now infamous Ukraine call has led to the current impeachment circus.

“I actually wanted it to be the whistleblower this year to be the person of the year. I think it’s a more salient and timely choice.”

In a discussion about Trump’s tweet about TIME’s choice, McCain said she doesn’t feel very comfortable criticizing a teenager and that makes it difficult to talk about the subject.

“It’s hard for me to talk about Greta Thunberg because she’s 16 and I still don’t believe in attacking underage people.”

Joy Behar followed up with an unsurprising barb about Trump’s “green with envy” look clashing with his orange complexion.
