The Senate Majority Leader is even putting Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats on the spot:

The Constitution allows the Senate to make its own standards of behavior for the membership. If the truth of Franken were bad enough, the body could go as far as to expel him, as has been threatened regarding candidate Roy Moore.

Update: Franken himself has given in on the point.
