Republican Tim Murphy betrayed the values of his constituents. Now voters pick a replacement. The first poll is in for the special election in Pennsylvania’s 18th!

Democrat Conor Lamb is taking on Republican Rick Saccone for the job. It’s been a Republican district since Tim Murphy took the seat after redistricting, but with the open seat in a potential wave year for Democrats, anything’s possible.

The good news for Republicans though is that the first poll by Gravis has Saccone ahead 46-34. Being under 50 isn’t great for a good Republican seat, but it’s a start. Saccone is far from having this locked up though!
