New Poll: Nobody Trusts Gun Control to be Fair, Not Even Democrats

Democrat leaders are seizing on yet another mass murder as a political cudgel, but a new poll shows this can’t possibly be a winning issue for them.

It’s pretty remarkable that the Democrats are taking what should be a great year for them, and pushing an issue that a new poll says is losing for them across the board.

The poll by Rasmussen Reports has Americans distrusting the government’s ability to enforce gun control laws fairly by a staggering 58-24 margin. That’s a blowout football score, not a close political result.

56% of Republicans don’t think the government would enforce gun control fairly. 55% of Independents agree. But most surprising is that 61% of Democrats think gun control would be enforced unfairly.

Americans also believe politicians use gun control as a wedge issue for elections. That one’s by a 74-15 margin. Nobody’s taking this seriously when politicians make speeches.

If this poll is accurate, we can expect the gun grabbing fringe to fail once again.
