“There are those who talk about boycotting Israel, we’ll boycott them!” said Benjamin Netanyahu at AIPAC yesterday, bragging about our combined diplomatic might.

The American friendship with Israel is one of the special relationships our nation has, right up there with our ties to the United Kingdom. Many Americans look to the United Kingdom to see the origins of our language and many civil institutions. Many Americans also look to Israel to see the origins of many religious institutions.

America sticks with Israel even when few others will. Together, America and Israel make the world safer and more prosperous. We are winning. That was the message Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed in front of AIPAC on Wednesday. “When I joined the foreign service… we had about 80 or 90 countries with whom we had diplomatic relations. Now the number is 160… We are coloring the world blue!” he said:

He also described what we accomplish when we work together:

You know, in the last few years Israel’s incredible intelligence services have foiled dozens, dozens of major terrorist attacks across the world in dozens of countries. That plane could have been blown out of the sky if it weren’t for Israeli intelligence. You’re boarding planes when you leave this place. You are safer because of Israeli intelligence. It not only protects Israeli lives, it protects innocent lives around the world.

Supporting Israel is the right thing to do. It’s the moral thing to do. But it’s also a beneficial thing to do. So this is why I support Donald Trump moving the US Embassy to Israel, into the city of Jersualem, Israel’s capital.

God bless Israel, God bless America, and god bless the Israel America alliance. Thank you, thank you all.
