Dem Rep: Here's a Guide to Preach Impeachment to Relatives at Thanksgiving

One of the things we can always count on every Thanksgiving week is folks on the left giving some kind of “advice” on how to deal with those relatives who aren’t completely caught up in the leftist bubble.

This year, they’re at it again, with instructions on how to deal with relatives who aren’t buying what Democrats are selling on impeachment.

Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL), who is on the House Intelligence Committee and whose pronouns are he/him, put out a meme guide: “HOW TO SURVIVE AN IMPEACHMENT THANKSGIVING: Everything you need to know for those tricky dinner conversations” or how to talk to your “crazy Uncle Jim.”

The problem with it?

The left doesn’t know how to meme. And it was just chock-full of lies.

Troubling that this is from a guy on the House Intelligence Committee.

He tweeted out parts to mixed reviews.

He claimed that on the July 25th call that President Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky to “do us a favor” and publicly announce investigations into the Biden family. While the president did ask Zelensky to “do us a favor” it pertained to looking into what happened to the DNC server and investigating meddling in 2016. There was no request to announce investigations into the Bidens. Trump did not withhold a meeting and no aid was ultimately withheld.

Ukraine did not learn about aid being possibly delayed until sometime in August. They didn’t know about it on the call and only learned of it because someone leaked the information to Politico in August. An investigation should be done to determine whether it was the whistleblower, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) or someone from Schiff’s staff, since that greatly harmed Ukrainian relations and may have revealed classified information.

The aid was never delayed since it wasn’t supposed to be released until September 30. It was actually released before then.

Nobody confirmed a quid pro quo. Indeed everyone testified they were never told about a quid pro quo including Amb. Gordon Sondland and Amb. William Taylor.

Fiona Hill said that the dossier was an effort to undermine Trump by Russia that media and others wrongly bought into. So should we take that point from her?

Trump never asked the Ukrainians to interfere in the election, his only mention of Biden was to ask Zelensky if it had been properly closed (i.e. closed not because of corruption). None of the witnesses corroborated the whistleblower’s complaint. Even the whistleblower didn’t since he didn’t testify and had a memo which was resportedly contradictory.

Democrats have lacked transparency and fundamental fairness right down the line, failing to release transcripts, to allow GOP to call witnesses or even let the president have an attorney present.

It’s true that there hasn’t been a finding of any corruption on the part of the Bidens. It would have been hard, since the investigation was stopped, allegedly by Biden getting the prosecutor fired.

But seriously, does Quigley really think you should lay all these lies on your more knowledgeable relatives? They will grind up leftists that throw these out there. And why not just enjoy the turkey and the pumpkin pie instead?

It’s a holiday to give thanks, not push propaganda.
