Do the Bloomberg Dance!

In this photograph provided by “Meet the Press,” New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg speaks on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Washington Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009. Bloomberg opened with remarks about midair collision between a helicopter and, and a single-engine plane over the Hudson Saturday, which killed nine people, including a 15-year-old boy, and Italian tourists on a tour helicopter. Bloomberg said a recovery effort is still underway, that both aircraft are in 30 feet of water with low visibility, that a couple of bodied had been recovered, and that the search would continue until all bodies are found. We’ve already been treated to a lot of Democrats trying to put out relatable videos.

Among them are the “dancing videos” like those we’ve seen from Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s supporters.

At least they’re better than Beto O’Rourke “visit to the dentist” videos.

So when a video professing to be from a Mike Bloomberg rally in Beverly Hills (nice touch) with supporters, or “Bloomberg Heads” (lol) doing the “Bloomberg Dance” dropped, challenging the Buttigieg folks, it was perfectly believable to many.

Nick Ciarelli, the guy who posted the video, even claimed the supporters had to pay to be there.

The video immediately went viral and was met with mockery.

The dancing seemed just the kind of dancing a Bloomberg supporter would do, coupled with the “Bloomberg!” at the end. Although it was missing the anti-soda PSA at the end. Because soda is bad, very bad, for you, per Nanny Mike.

Not letting me have my soda?

Unfortunately, it wasn’t real, albeit quite funny and on target. And it caught quite a few people.

The Bloomberg folks clarified for all who didn’t get it was a comedy bit. We give them props for responding with a sense of humor.

To which Ciarelli responded:
