President Donald Trump was talking about at the end of this month possibly reevaluating the general stay at home advice that had been suggested. He also had been saying he “would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter,” April 12.

But the one thing that has developed from the data on the ground is that most of the cases right now are concentrated in New York and New Jersey combined responsible for approximately half of the cases in the country.

Now, Trump is saying he’s considering a quarantine on parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut because it’s the hot spot right now for the virus.

From Townhall:

“So, I think, really, most of the governors are very appreciative. As I said, I just spoke with [New York State Governor] Andrew Cuomo. I just spoke with [Florida Governor] Ron DeSantis. We’re thinking about certain things. Some people would like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hotspot – New York, New Jersey,” Trump explained outside of Air Force Once. “Maybe one or two other places; certain parts of Connecticut quarantined. I’m thinking about that right now. We might not have to do it, but there’s a possibility that sometime today we’ll do a quarantine – short-term, two weeks – on New York, probably New Jersey, certain parts of Connecticut.”

It’s not for certain yet and he said it’s not something he wants to do, he said.

In the meantime, he sent the medical ship, the USNS Comfort, off to help New York.
