At the end of last week, an audio of former president Barack Obama was “leaked,” telling former Obama officials that the Justice Department’s dismissal of the charges against Gen. Michael Flynn put the “rule of law” at risk.

From Yahoo:

“The news over the last 24 hours I think has been somewhat downplayed — about the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn,” Obama said in a web talk with members of the Obama Alumni Association.

“And the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk. And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”

Given the lawlessness of the Obama administration, that takes some real nerve.

As we reported, Georgetown Law professor Jonathan Turley took apart his comments, showing how wrong he was. He pointed out how Obama had falsely said Flynn was charged with perjury, false claimed that there was no precedent when there was precedent under Obama, also done with the same judge in the Flynn case, Judge Emmett Sullivan.

But he wasn’t done there, he added more today, to Obama’s “false statements.” Today he went after the “crushing irony” of Obama suggesting hooking Flynn up over the Logan Act, the complete ‘lack of precedent’ for that.

Boom.

A last ditch effort to use something never used before, now having the temerity to talk about lack of precedent.

But seriously, Obama should be the last one to ever talk about violating the Logan Act. He and his former officials like former Secretary of State John Kerry have done everything they could to try to undermine the Trump administration with countries like Iran. Flynn had a normal conversation with the Russian ambassador as the incoming national security advisor. Kerry had absolutely no power and was holding secret meetings with the Iranians telling them to hold out that Trump wouldn’t be there long, the very essence of what the Logan Act spoke against.
