One of the great things about the Trump economy before the pandemic hit was that business was not demonized as it tends to be under Democrats, but encouraged, thus helping the economy and helping to employ millions of Americans. It’s a simple thought, but an important one that Democrats continue to fail at.

As we come out of the pandemic, with millions being thrown out of work, that concept and understanding is going to be more important than ever to have and to employ. One of the many reasons that one should never vote for a Democrat and particularly not their presumptive presidential nominee, Joe Biden.

Biden showed that problem in a Twitter fight with Amazon on Friday.

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers,” Biden said. “It’s time for Amazon to pay its fair share.”

I really hate when Democrats say that. Your “fair share” is what the tax law says it is until the tax code changes. No one is required to pay more than that. This is just a translation to that greater socialist thought that attacks millionaires and billionaires, but really wants to force all of us to “share” and be “fair,” according to what they think.

If you don’t like the tax code, then work to change it. But guess who was in Congress from 1973 to 2008 and hasn’t done anything to solve the wasteland that is the tax code? You got it, Biden.

Amazon let Biden know that, loudly and clearly, hitting back at him.

“Joe Biden, We pay every cent owed. You spent 3 decades in the Senate & know that Congress wrote these tax laws to encourage companies to invest in the US economy. We have. 500k jobs w/ a min wage of $15/hr across 40 states. Assume your complaint is w/ the tax code, not Amazon.”

Boom, I’d like to report a murder.

Of course, perhaps Joe forgets that. He spent his whole life in the Senate and hasn’t changed the vagaries of the code. But truthfully, Amazon’s probably done more for the economy than Joe Biden ever did or would.

But Biden’s comments shouldn’t be taken lightly. Because it’s a foreshadowing of what he would do if he won. That he would kill business opportunity, which isn’t only about Amazon or business, but about millions of Americans being employed.
