President Donald Trump has reportedly removed newly minted White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci from his post.

Flying too close to the sun and upstaging the Reality-Star-in-Chief so quickly apparently didn’t sit well with the president.

Mr. Scaramucci’s abrupt removal came just 10 days after the wealthy New York financier was brought on to the West Wing staff, a move that convulsed an already chaotic White House and led to the departures of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the president’s first chief of staff.

The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.

No word yet on whether The Mooch will be exiting the White House completely or will be moved to another position.

The official statement from the Press Secretary stated:

“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director.  Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team.  We wish him all the best.”
