There have been a few developments in the ongoing saga of Hillary Clinton attempting to fight off the passenger-pigeon scale flock of chickens coming home to roost.

Apparently the heat on the FBI for appearing to participate in a cover-up to help Hillary was getting too intense so leaks have begun to spring. Bloomberg reports:

The FBI has recovered personal and work-related e-mails from the private computer server used by Hillary Clinton during her time as secretary of state, according to a person familiar with the investigation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s success at salvaging personal e-mails that Clinton said had been deleted raises the possibility that the Democratic presidential candidate’s correspondence eventually could become public. The disclosure of such e-mails would likely fan the controversy over Clinton’s use of a private e-mail system for official business.

The FBI is investigating how and why classified information ended up on Clinton’s server. The probe probably will take at least several more months, according to the person, who described the matter on condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing and deals with sensitive information.

The great thing here is that the FBI has every incentive to hit this hard because even if the Obama Justice Department does nothing, the next administration will have no doubts that the FBI is reliable. Ultimately, the FBI looks out for parochial interests.

The bureau’s probe is expected to last at least several more months, according to the person. That timeline would push any final determination closer to the Democratic presidential primary calendar, which kicks off Feb. 1 with the Iowa caucuses.

This has to be welcome to Joe Biden.

State Department contradicts Clinton on email usage.

Via Washington Post:

Throughout the controversy over her use of a private e-mail system while she was secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton has described her decision last year to turn over thousands of work-related e-mails as a response to a routine-sounding records request.

“When we were asked to help the State Department make sure they had everything from other secretaries of state, not just me, I’m the one who said, ‘Okay, great, I will go through them again,’ ” Clinton said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “And we provided all of them.”

But State Department officials provided new information Tuesday that undercuts Clinton’s characterization. They said the request was not simply about general record-keeping but was prompted entirely by the discovery that Clinton had exclusively used a private e-mail system. They also said they first contacted her in the summer of 2014, at least three months before the agency asked Clinton and three of her predecessors to provide their e-mails.

But the early call from the State Department is a sign that, at the least, officials in the agency she led from 2009 to 2013 were concerned by the practice — and that they had been caught off guard upon discovering her exclusive use of a private account.

“We realized there was a problem,” said a State Department official who until that moment had not been aware of Clinton’s private e-mail setup. The official, like some others interviewed for this story, spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case.

A new book due out by Edward Klein and titled “Unlikeable — The Problem with Hillary” claims she has significant and undisclosed health problems. Unlike Bill Clinton’s still-secret medical file, Hillary’s is not alleged to  have exotic venereal diseases. So there is that to be thankful for.

Among her issues are “blinding headaches” that have “frequently plagued her,” he claimed. As Radar reported, other insiders have claimed she has had a series of strokes and may be suffering from MS.

According to Klein, Clinton is secretly facing “mounting health issues” that cannot be ignored.

Among her issues are “blinding headaches” that have “frequently plagued her,” he claimed. As Radar reported, other insiders have claimed she has had a series of strokes and may be suffering from MS.

Bouts of insomnia have “worried her, because it sapped her energy just when she needed it most for the campaign,” Klein wrote.

The friend continued, “She is exhausted and depressed a lot of the time.”

In fact, the friend claimed, Clinton even turned to sleeping pills like Ambien and Lunesta in her desperation, but they offered no relief. Said the friend, “She said they made her less sharp the next day.”

As Radar reported, Clinton suffered a life-threatening blood clot on her brain in late 2012. Since then, Klein claimed, she has “constantly worried she was developing another blood clot…”

“There were incidents on the campaign trail when she felt faint and nearly swooned,” he claimed. “Those incidents were kept secret.

Naturally, because she is a Democrat, she will be allowed to lie about her health, even though when that phone rings at 3 am, Clinton will be woozy from Abien and wearing a soaked Depends.
