Classic Adam Schiff. He Demanded Changes to the Intel Committee Memo Then Complained When They Were Made

This is just too, too m2uch.

As has been noted previously, Adam Schiff released a blistering memo yesterday accusing House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes of duplicity, etc., etc., because, according to Schiff, the memo being released tomorrow (allegedly) contained changes not approved by the committee. The implication is that there is a bait-and-switch going on. That Nunes has altered the document and is now going to release the altered document as though it is the same document Schiff and the Democrats have been fighting to keep out of public view.

The Intelligence Committee quickly set the record straight.

But the real story just gets stranger.

Jack Langer, Nunes’s spokesman, said in a statement that Schiff’s letter amounted to another “strange attempt to thwart publication of the memo.”

“In its increasingly strange attempt to thwart publication of the memo, the Committee Minority is now complaining about minor edits to the memo, including grammatical fixes and two edits requested by the FBI and by the Minority themselves,” Langer said. “The vote to release the memo was absolutely procedurally sound, and in accordance with House and Committee rules. To suggest otherwise is a bizarre distraction from the abuses detailed in the memo, which the public will hopefully soon be able to read for themselves.”

This is just how Schiff operates. Mollie Hemingway has a great rundown on his M.O. at The Federalist where she details the numerous attempts he’s made to block the Intelligence Committee from doing its job because it might hurt Democrats.

What I don’t understand is that a year ago everyone on the right knew Schiff was a dishonest and disreputable little f*** who’d sell his mother to a Persian whoremonger if it got him television time. Suddenly, he’s being quoted as though he’s anything other than what he is which is a relentless, amoral partisan who happens to be a pathological liar.
