CNN Pushes False Kavanaugh Allegation for Hours After It Was Debunked

Last night I posted about the flurry of allegations that have been made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh since the GOP decided to play nice and give Christine Ford the chance to perjure herself on national television for fun and profit.

One of the gems that came over the transom was this one received by Rhode Island Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse alleging that Kavanaugh had raped someone on a boat in August 1985:

The guy recanted Wednesday afternoon and personally tweeted his apologia at 7:51 p.m.

That, of course, didn’t stop CNN from pushing the story for over four hours after the recantation.

CNN is obviously pushing to kill Kavanaugh’s nomination and they aren’t at all shy about it. And they aren’t alone. The Hill ran the story hours after Catala’s verbal recantation and nearly a half-hour after his tweet. They took until 9:44 p.m. to update the story.

If you want to say the media hasn’t taken a side in this and they are simply making the occasional mistake, say it to someone who is a mental defective and will believe it.
