New York Polling Shows Trump's Struggle in His Own State

I’ve heard at least one of Trump’s kids say his father has changed the skyline of New York.

Apparently, if they’re waiting for a “Thank you,” they’re going to be waiting a long time, because the state of New York isn’t returning the love.

POLITICO is reporting on New York polling this morning:

Democrat Hillary Clinton continues to enjoy a commanding lead in the presidential race in New York, according to a Siena Research Institute poll of registered voters conducted last week.

She’s beating Republican Donald Trump by 57-27 in a one-on-one matchup and 50-25 when third-party candidates are factored in. And while her favorability rating continues to be low — 51 percent of voters view her favorably and 46 percent unfavorably — it’s far better than Trump’s 24-72.

It’s not a surprise that a Democrat is winning New York, outright, but Trump has only slightly more than half of the Republican vote in the state he calls home.

Currently, Trump has 55% of the Republican vote, with 24% saying they’d rather vote for the Democrat fraudster than the Republican con man. Those numbers for Trump dip to 52% if you factor in a third party.

Trump’s polling among Republicans was lackluster on a variety of issues. Only half said he’d be better than Clinton on “addressing tensions between the police and communities of color,” 53 percent think he’d make a better commander-in-chief, and 56 percent believe he’d work better with Congress.

New York Republicans also think Bill Clinton would make a better first philanderer… er… spouse than Melania Trump, as well, choosing Clinton over Melania by a margin of 46 to 42.

Ouch.
