Bannon on Trump Jr. Russia Meeting: Daddy Knew

Yes. It’s heating up. And I’m planning to cover every angle of this, so hang on.

Of the simmering leaks coming from Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” it’s beginning to sound as if Breitbart CEO and former White House chief strategist, Steve Bannon really did leave his position mad at the world.

Or at least mad at Trump World.

Speaking of the June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and several Russians, Bannon seems to suggest that candidate Trump knew more about it than anyone has let on.

According to MSNBC, which tweeted an excerpt from Michael Wolff’s upcoming book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” Bannon said that it was likely Donald Trump Jr. took the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya and others up to then-candidate Trump’s office during the meeting.

“The chance that Don. Jr did not walk these Jumos up to his father’s office on the 26th floor is zero,” the excerpt reads.

The 2016 meeting came after an associate suggested through emails to Trump Jr. that the Russians wanted to help his dad’s campaign, and that they had dirt to share on Hillary Clinton that would be damaging to her chances.

Trump Jr.’s response?

“I love it!”

For whatever the stated reason for the meeting, it seems that things quickly went another way, and that was in regards to a program for Russian adoptions that had been shut down by the Russian government.
