Ivana Trump Defends Her Ex: He's NOT Racist

The REAL “First Lady,” otherwise known as the first in a series of Donald Trump’s wives, Ivana Trump, is still on the road, pimping her book and getting attention from her connection to the president.

Of course, somebody was going to ask her about the latest Trump firestorm. She wasn’t in the room when he [allegedly] called Haiti and other nations with people not up to his standard of quality “sh*thole countries,” but she’s the same woman who once said he kept a copy of Hitler’s speeches, as compiled in the book, “My New Order,” by his bedside.

And now she wants everyone to know, he’s totally not racist.

He’s just confused.

“I don’t think Donald is racist at all. Sometimes he says things, which are silly or he doesn’t really mean them, but he is definitely not racist. I’m sure of that,” Ivana Trump told “Good Morning Britain” on Monday.

I get where she’s coming from.

He’s the guy who says he doesn’t want blacks counting his money (he only wants little guys wearing yarmulkes counting his money) just doesn’t seem the type.

Wife number one went on to suggest it was the unsavory crowd (his advisers) he was hanging with that were leading him into such troubled waters.

“He has so many people telling him left and right what to say, what not to say, and maybe it gets confusing,” she said.

Of course. I can see how it would.

I’m not sure who his advisers were, other than his father, Fred Trump, back in the 70s, when Trump was part of a lawsuit brought by the Justice Department, alleging housing discrimination.

A sting operation by the DOJ showed that when white, black, and Hispanic undercover operatives were given identical credentials, then were sent to Trump management to inquire about apartment rentals, the white operatives were immediately offered apartments, but their black and Hispanic counterparts were either told there were no apartments available, or the quoted rent price was doubled to a number they couldn’t possibly afford.

It turned out to be one of the largest cases of housing discrimination in American history, and Trump Management ended up settling out of court, with an agreement to change their rental practices.

During a break in the proceedings for the case, the DOJ prosecutor in charge claims Donald Trump approached her and said, “C’mon, admit it. You don’t want to live with them, either.”

Them?

Anyway, a 71 year old man who has had a lifetime of saying and doing racist things probably isn’t a racist at all, so let’s just calm down.
