After Successful Military Operation, Trump Turns the Narrative to - James Comey

During President Trump’s “executive time” Sunday morning, he decided to take aim at former FBI Director James Comey.

I mean, there’s obviously nothing more pressing going on in the world, right?

This is a president who just ordered what appears to be a targeted, precise, and successful strike against bad players in Syria, but let’s not talk about that. Let’s talk about the grudge he has against a guy who rejected his demand for personal loyalty.

And let’s talk about just how backwards this tweet is.

Comey reopened the investigation into Clinton’s emails shortly before the 2016 election. He was recently asked about that decision in an interview, regarding polls showing Hillary Clinton as the sure winner.

Were polls an influence on his decision to reopen the investigation?

“It must have been. I don’t remember consciously thinking about that, but it must have been because I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I’m sure that it was a factor,” Comey said during the interview on ABC News.

For Trump, who often gets “confused” about details, I can see his losing it over this, but for those of us not operating under less-than-optimal brain function, let’s keep it in perspective.

The left HATED Comey for this. They feel reopening that investigation just before the election hurt Clinton. It didn’t help her.

What Comey was saying here is that Clinton was about to win the election, likely be president, and there were these loose strings of potential corruption clinging to her presidency. He felt it best to reopen and attempt to clean everything up.

Now, that’s not to get him off the hook for how poorly the investigation had been handled, up to that point. It doesn’t explain away the corruption of the Justice Department under Loretta Lynch, either. It does look as if Comey was helping Trump out, at the end, whether purposefully or not.

It’s the #1 book on Amazon’s Best Sellers list.

Also, McCabe is a different person than Comey. They’re not joined at the hip, so Comey doesn’t owe it to anybody to talk about McCabe. That’s just typical Trump dumb. Wait for McCabe’s book, if you want those answers.

As for the DOJ at that time, again, they were taking their marching orders from Loretta Lynch, who never should have had the job. Or any job, for that matter. She’s disgusting and unprofessional.

This is just peak, petty Trump, and another example of how difficult it is for him to stay on message.

If Trump is having troubles in his presidency, look no further than examples like this. There are plenty of them, unfortunately. This won’t be the last.
