Now, this is going to get interesting.

Jussie Smollett walked out of a Chicago courtroom yesterday with all state charges dropped against him but now the F.B.I. is looking into what in the hell happened.

According to Page Six this is going to get very interesting, very fast.

The FBI reportedly launched a probe Wednesday to get to the bottom of Chicago prosecutors’ secret deal to drop all charges against Jussie Smollett even though they insisted they had the evidence for a conviction.

The federal investigation kicked off one day after the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office abandoned its 16-count felony indictment against the “Empire” star with no warning and little explanation, reported Chicago ABC affiliate WLS-TV, citing law-enforcement sources.

The report came as State’s Attorney Kim Foxx defended the bombshell decision to walk away from the prosecution — even as she maintained her office had an airtight case.

“Based on the facts and the evidence . . . this office believes that they could prove him guilty,” Foxx told WLS. But she added of prosecutors’ decision to let Smollett walk free with no more than the forfeiture of his $10,000 bail and 16 hours of community service, “I believe this is a just outcome based on the circumstances.”

How about that? Just when you thought this strange case was over and dead, it got back up and slapped you on the head.

I wasn’t putting much stock at first into the Kim Foxx was compromised angle but as this has gone on over the past 24 hours it sure seems something odd is up. How can Foxx, after the determination is made that your office had an “airtight case”  you decide to drop all charges? This is not a jaywalking ticket but an assault case. Adding to that the race of the subject and the “alleged” perpetrators being white Trump peeps,  you can’t let this be dusted under the rug if you have the evidence.

As I mentioned on my show Bourbon On The Rocks I was pretty sure this was done and there was some lil mess being covered up. Jussie and his legal team could barely wait to get out the door on Tuesday and never mentioned taking the City of Chicago to court. If you were actually wronged, wouldn’t you at least say “all options are on the table” when the questioned was asked about legal action? They just dragged you and your name through the mud, you should be relieved and ticked off.

Jussie wasn’t. I know he is an actor yet he is not a master of that trade.

Maybe there is something to a family connection or favor being called in relation to Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff. However, if there is they must now know that former Barrack Obama’s Chief of Staff and current Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, is not a happy camper about what has gone on here. Whoever the Mayor is in Chicago usually gets their way and Rahm is no exception. He wants to find out what happened and it looks like he will get some answers.

Smollett could still face charges such as obstruction of justice, conspiracy and mail fraud on the Federal level with this new FBI peek into this case, so he is not out of the woods yet.

Who needs to watch a fake show on T.V. like Empire when you have this to watch in real time.
