Let’s face it. Nancy Pelosi has had a storied political career. She has worked her way up from the daughter of a political operative and getting elected from the mess that is San Fransisco, California to rising to the first female Speaker of the House. Plus let’s not forget being RLELECTED to that position eight years after losing it.

However, the past year has not been so kind to San Fran Nan. She has been bossed around by four political newcomers who are nicknamed “The Squad” ( how demeaning being run ragged by cheerleaders) who have forced her to do things that are politically risky.

Namely, impeachment.

Nancy knew halfway into those sham hearings that they did not have the goods to jettison Trump. She was in the House when the Clinton impeachment happened and she knew full well what it takes to make these things stick. She carried through though being the thought of Trump crowing on T.V. about another Russian nothing-burger would be too much to bear.

Which brings us to this moronic notion of rushing to pass the articles of impeachment for Trump and then holding up on sending them to Senate. Whoever on the Squad was watching MSNBC that day and told her of this really did a disservice to Nan’s legacy. The Speaker thought it was a good idea to tell Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell what the “other” body could and could not do and she knew that would never fly. Just like if the Senate told her what to do.

As my colleague here at Red State, Elizabeth Vaughn wrote recently about what the Senate Majority leader thought McConnell Ends the Conversation With Pelosi. He essentially told her where on YouTube to find a video about pounding sand.

So now we received word today, that after 23 days of this nonsense of holding up the articles and NOT sending them to the Senate, Nancy will get around to sending them some time next week.

How adorable.

According to Fox News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Friday that she will take steps next week to send impeachment articles to the Senate, after delaying the process since last month in a bid to extract favorable terms for a trial.

“I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate. I will be consulting with you at our Tuesday House Democratic Caucus meeting on how we proceed further,” Pelosi, D-Calif., wrote in a letter to colleagues.

The decision to release the articles came as fellow Democrats in recent days had started to voice frustration and impatience with the speaker’s approach. They stressed the urgency with which impeachment was treated at the end of 2019 and questioned why the House would then delay a trial by using articles as leverage.

Asked about Pelosi’s decision to move forward on Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said: “About time.”

About time indeed Mitch.

I had a hunch this was coming soon because at a yesterday’s press conference that Nancy holds every Thursday to converse with the Lil people, she seemed in good spirits. However, when the topic came to when the impeachment papers were going to Mitch she immediately became tense and looked weakened. This was clearly something she did not want to talk about and had hoped to avoid.

Kinda like talking about constipation.

So, America, I happy to report that sometime next week Nancy Pelosi will unburden herself of the overwhelming burden of this impeachment constipation and send this to the Senate. Where most likely Mitch McConnell already has a super-duper sized plunger to make sure to flush this down the political terd down the toilet once and for all.

Only then can we get back to what really matters in this country.

Why does anyone still think Harry should stay with Meghan Ono.
