When fleshing out bad ideas it always seems that they start on the state or local level and move on up the chain. Wisconsin is proving this point by getting one step closer to expanding bar hours for the DNC convention to be held there in July.
There is no way this ends well.
From WISN 12…
There’s a bipartisan push to allow for expanded bar hours during the July 13-16 convention.
Similar measures have been approved in other states that hosted conventions to capitalize on the crowds drawn for the events.
Organizers estimate 50,000 people will be in and around Milwaukee for the DNC.
The bill would allow bars all across the state, not just those in Milwaukee, to stay open until 4 a.m.
Currently, bars must close at 2 a.m.
Let me help the kind people of Wisconsin out. The cheese is blocking your capacity for rational thought.
Do you understand that one of the most fractured nomination contests is currently underway and your well-meaning proposal to expand bar hours for 3 days is only going to result in the massive destruction of your city and possibly Lake Michigan? Which in case you forget is a GREAT LAKE?
When the DNC clown show rolls into your town ( making up for Hillary totally blowing you off in 2016) the Bernie bros are gonna be so ticked off that the leadership in the party has screwed them once again they are going to be angry.
So you think that expanding the hours to consume Milwaukee’s Best is going to help this situation? Why not just take the shorter route to burn the city and grab all the kerosine from the farms and light it in the middle of town?
If this was a great idea then you would leave the hours of operation to 4 am AFTER the DNC sideshow leaves your town in a heaping pile of steaming garbage but you are only doing this for three days. This is such a bad idea I’m almost tempted to believe that Bernie Sanders came up with it to encourage his supporters to lig………… WAIT A MINUTE.
Whatever the case I’m going to be happy to watch all the drone footage of the result of this live on YouTube from the safety of my home in Michigan and will wish you all the best.
You are going to need it!!
