And Sharron Angle isn’t helping herself. Putting aside whether or not some of the claims leveled against her are true (some of them – like the suggestion that we install massage parlours and saunas in prisons or don’t fluorodise water – seem to be) she hasn’t made any serious attempt to rebut them.

She hasn’t engaged with the MSM at all and her campaign ads are wishy washy and platitudinous. When you’re on the receiving end of a barrage of negative attention spending money on campaign ads where you quote Ronald Reagan at a room full of seniors isn’t the best approach.

So I’m not sure what I can do.

How about you start by not talking down the Republican nominee, moderaterepub.

it is about winning. I have questioned Angle too, but since I got it off my chest I am not going to do it again. Reid was/is ripe for the booting, he “should” be down by 20 points but he is not. Hell, the mayor of Las Vegas is against the Dems and spoke to Repubs!

It is possible that the Tea Party went too far, our goal is to win not lose with style. Now I am aware she is being trashed, but where is the Repub money? Where are her strong and timely responses to said attacks?

I want her to win, we all want her to win. And the time is coming when questions will not help, only support will help. But I can’t blame someone for asking the obvious, “how did we get here”? But next needs to be, “how can we win”.

I would agree with Sharron Angle to remove fluoride from drinking water. She has my full support and I hope she kicks Harry to the curb.

True about the consumer choosing. I will back down from my original position of removing fluoride from the water, but I wish it was not in mine. I have no problem reversing my views when someone gives me a reasonable explanation.

Also, I do appreciate your explaining YMMV to me. I’m not quite as acronym savvy as most people here. I do look them up first, but when confronted with something I don’t understand, I will ask.

Rather than add fluoride, they should remove the calcium and magnesium.

Where I live, the water is so hard that it will turn to chalk or cement if it is not immediately dried off of everything.

I think it’s important to distinguish between “talking down a Republican candidate”, and expressing legitimate concern that we may be losing an opportunity to take out a Democrat heavyweight—one who is both dangerous and vulnerable.

Yesterday’s campaign appearance by Mrs. Angle—to which her campaign invited all of the local press—-was horrible. This was supposedly an effort to re-launch her campaign, after a rocky start since the primary. She opened the meeting by signing a pledge to help eliminate the death tax…..fair enough. But she followed this by refusing to take questions, and practically running out of the building, with the media hounds chasing her and campaign aides to an SUV. Predictably, the whole event is getting lots of coverage from the local NBC affiliate, as well as the Las Vegas Sun.

Bottom line, Mrs. Angle is going to have to start talking to the press and fielding tough questions. After dealing with a trap set by the media, Rand Paul has righted his campaign, and seems to have found his footing. I’m hoping that Mrs. Angle can do the same, but am not getting a good feeling at this point.

Guys, Obama is a statist who wants to take down the American Experiment thread by thread! He is destroying our economy, attacking entrepreneurship, and building the largest state apparatus in American history!

Because Obama believed his own headlines and underestimated American pride and culture, he has placed his own party in political jeopardy.

Obama, Pelosi, and the MSM have decided the only way to rally those that voted for “Hope and Change” is to change the subject from the economy and Constitution to race. They believe the only way to get large groups of minorities and self loathing whites to the polls is to stir up a race battle.

I am not breaking any news here, but I am here to say it is WORKING! Every site from right to left is inundated with one subject, RACE. WE are falling for this trick! This is the ultimate setup and we are falling for it.

Sure there are legitimate racism stories, sure we must defend ourselves, but be assured what is happening is the result of a concerted plan by Obama and the media. The had to find a way to slow down the Tea Party and other motivated conservatives and libertarians, and they have found that way.

I am not saying this plan will win for them, but it is a good way to minimize our victory. We are falling for it because the subject has changed. We need to get back to the real subject, stopping the attempted end of the American Experiment!
