I’ve adapted The Christmas Story in the New King James Version using The Greatest Story by Johnston M. Cheney & Stanley Ellisen, Th.D. as a guide to lay out the story from all the Gospels in chronological order. Hope you all Enjoy, and share it so all your friends and Family can enjoy as well:

Mark 1:1

Mark 1:1
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

John 1:1-18

(Jesus is GOD)

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend [fn] it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.
7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

Luke 1:5-80

(Story of John’s Conception)

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife [was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name [was] Elizabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.
8 So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division,
9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.
11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 And when Zacharias saw [him], he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
14 “And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
15 “For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
16 “And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.
17 “He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ [fn] and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
18 And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”
19 And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.
20 “But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”
21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marveled that he lingered so long in the temple.
22 But when he came out, he could not speak to them; and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he beckoned to them and remained speechless.
23 So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house.
24 Now after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived; and she hid herself five months, saying,
25 “Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on [me], to take away my reproach among people.”

(Mary is visited by the Angel Gabriel)

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name [was] Mary.
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored [one], the Lord [is] with you; blessed [are] you among women!” [fn]
29 But when she saw [him], [fn] she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
32 “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33 “And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “[The] Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
36 “Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.
37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.”
38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

(Mary Visits Elizabeth)

39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah,
40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.
41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed [are] you among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of your womb!
43 “But why [is] this [granted] to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 “For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 “Blessed [is] she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
46 And Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy [is] His name.
50 And His mercy [is] on those who fear Him From generation to generation.
51 He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered [the] proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He has put down the mighty from [their] thrones, And exalted [the] lowly.
53 He has filled [the] hungry with good things, And [the] rich He has sent away empty.

56 And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house.

57 Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son.
58 When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.
59 So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him by the name of his father, Zacharias.
60 His mother answered and said, “No; he shall be called John.”
61 But they said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”
62 So they made signs to his father–what he would have him called.
63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, saying, “His name is John.” So they all marveled.
64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue [loosed], and he spoke, praising God.
65 Then fear came on all who dwelt around them; and all these sayings were discussed throughout all the hill country of Judea
66 And all those who heard [them] kept [them] in their hearts, saying, “What kind of child will this be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
68 “Blessed [is] the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people,
69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David,
70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who [have been] since the world began,
71 That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us,
72 To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant,
73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:
74 To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
76 “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,

80 So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.

Matthew 1:18-25

(An Angel visits Joseph)

Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” [fn] which is translated, “God with us.”
24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife,
25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. [fn] And he called His name JESUS.

Luke 2:1-40

(A decree from Caesar Augustus, Mary and Joseph Travel to Bethlehem)

Luke 2:1
And it came to pass in those days [that] a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.
3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, [fn] who was with child.

(The Birth of the King of Kings)

6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

(Shepherds visited by The Heavenly Host of Angels)

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And behold, [fn] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 “And this [will be] the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” [fn]

(The Shepherds Visit the Savior)

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
17 Now when they had seen [Him], they made widely [fn] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
18 And all those who heard [it] marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered [them] in her heart.
20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

(Simeon sees and declares the promised Messiah)

21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, [fn] His name was called JESUS, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
22 Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present [Him] to the Lord
23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the LORD”), [fn]
24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.” [fn]
25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name [was] Simeon, and this man [was] just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.:
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child JESUS, to do for Him according to the custom of the law,
28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:
29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word;
30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation
31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,
32 A light to [bring] revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”
33 And Joseph and His mother [fn] marveled at those things which were spoken of Him.
34 Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this [Child] is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against
35 “(yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
36 Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
37 and this woman [was] a widow of about eighty-four years, [fn] who did not depart from the temple, but served [God] with fastings and prayers night and day.
38 And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, [fn] and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
39 So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their [own] city, Nazareth.
40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, [fn] filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Matthew 2:1-12

(Visit of the Wise Men)

Now after JESUS was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
3 When Herod the king heard [this], he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
5 So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, [in] the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ” [fn]
7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found [Him], bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

Parents who love their preteen kids BEWARE OF THE TRANSFORMERS MOVIES!!!

I am totally disgusted with this entire series of movies since it is an adaptation of a cartoon designed and marketed for kids complete with toys and commercials and all the gimmicks one can think of to draw the little innocents in so they can be spoonfed the worse of American culture.

We no longer have cable or satellite since we’ve recently moved and our access to Netflix streaming movies has been restricted due to the rural nature of my internet service. So, we’ve settled on the mail out version of Netflix.

To make a long story shot, the boys and I were looking for movies to watch and they if they could see Transformers?

I made the mistake of saying sure, I don’t see why not.

The rating is PG 13 but I figured it’s like Spiderman which got the same rating because of the violent content. What harm could there be in letting my kids watch machines beat the nuts, bolts and hydraulic fluid out of each other…right?

Boy was I wrong!

As it is, we watched “Transformers III Dark Side of the Moon” first since I was able to grab it from Redbox immediately. All in all it was OK but I had a fit when out of the blue one of the characters dropped the F-Bomb without warning in the middle of a movie that was otherwise clean; with a few mild exceptions in the colorful language department. Despite this, since my kids liked that movie so much I promised to let them watch the first and second installments.

So I ordered them from Netflix and spaced them out over time to let the anticipation build for the boys as they were forced to wait for the movies to arrive.

I had a blast watching my middle child…(he’s the one who lives in a fantasy world slightly more than the other two)…run to the mailbox everyday to see if they had arrived yet.

Finally Transformers arrived…and we settled in to watch the movies. I was again upset and appalled at a few well placed yet mild attacks on my kids by a few well placed words…but I came unglued when the mother started off on the main character about why he’s sneaking around by asking him if he’s sneaking off to “masturbate?”

If she had asked that one question it would be bad enough…but this offensive went for about 5 minutes of dialogue, (I can only guess at how long it went on because I was busy desperately grabbing for the remote and fast forwarding through much of it). Through it all, Mom continues to harangue JR about how it’s OK and Mom and Dad understand. The masturbation conversation only stops when the girlfriend reveals her presence in sonny boy’s bedroom which pleases Mom and Dad to no end at the idea that JR has a girl in his room and is likely working as hard as he can to put her in “The family way.” He’s sort of a nerd you see.

What’s so infuriating is…this adds nothing to the movie the plot line or anything else. If this were a movie designed for adults and there were a proper warning to folks that this is what can be expected it would be one thing…but again…this is an adaptation from a cartoon series…that markets toys to kids in order to draw them in for a full frontal assault on their innocence.

Yet I committed to letting my kids watch the series so I again get to watch the anticipation and experience again the amusement of watching Number 2 son run to the mailbox after getting off the school bus yelling “is it here yet daddy?”…only now, the joy is accompanied by a sense of…surely this one isn’t any worse that the first and third installment?

Well…the movie and the big day arrive and I and the boys settle in for a little entertainment.

So we begin “Transformers II, Revenge of the fallen”

For the life of me I can’t figure out how this movie escaped an R Rating.

It includes everything from a couple of the Autobots speaking in street lingo about popping caps in each other’s “BXXch AXX” to calling one of the human characters a “PUXXY.” The rest of the movie is laced with the F-Bomb or derivatives of the same word such as Fricken which in my day described the same act.

The visual is even worse as the audience is treated to images of a coed dorm early on. There is a scene where a girl walks past a door and my wife says she was naked…(I was watching the dialogue and didn’t see…Honest…heh)

Then there’s the scene with a scantily clad college coed who starts out trying to french kiss the uninterested main character.

Of course the girlfriend shows up and catches her beau and the scantily clad coed in the act. Predictably, (The star is a nerd remember?), this is the time little miss Iron Buns sprouts a snake like metal tail and out of robot girls mouth springs a mechanical appendage with a tongue of flesh that she continues to try and shove down nerd boy’s throat as the chase ensues

Of course in the middle of this chase, while snake tongue is trying to find them…the main character and his girlfriend assault the audience and each other with a graphic combination of language and  sexual innuendo worthy of Hugh Heffner and Larry Flint.

Of course tongue girl reemerges in the middle of this and continues to try and french kiss our hero throughout the ensuing car  chase….

Is this as bad as it can get?

Are you kidding…if you made it to this part of the movie, you’ve already been confronted with center screen visuals of two dogs humping as the father for the main character tells the smaller of the two dogs to stop “Dominating” the larger….and if it’s not enough…they show it…NOT ONCE….BUT TWICE.

Surely that’s it right?….NOPE!..during a lull in the action…we get to watch a miniature Decepticon Robot who was captured by the main character’s girlfriend hump HER leg as the main character asks her if she’s just going to stand there and let him keep doing that to which she replies something like “Well, it keeps him loyal.”

Now I’m dealing with the shame and guilt of letting my kids watch the filth with which they were confronted despite my best efforts to fast-forward or mute the raunchy parts.

If you are a parent thinking this is the stuff of the original television series and something you want to share with your child…do yourself a favor…DON’T GO THERE!!!

So I’m reading yesterday morning with no plans to write anything and I come across Molly Ball at the top of the page at Politico:

Long-lost Sarah Palin surfaces in emails

It absolutely cracks me up and would rank up there with the greatest pieces of parody ever written if it weren’t meant to be a serious report about Sarah Palin’s emails and time as governor.

Molly Ball is obviously trying to play at being fair and balanced and starts out with a sing songy narrative about what a caring, thoughtful, competent, powerful Governor Palin used to be alternating with what Palin has become…but that only lasted a paragraph….as the Lame stream media is want to do…the whole thing descends into childish and catty PDS rantings from there on.

To hear Molly describe it, (whether the description be direct, or by inference) the old Palin is “Lost”.

What was lost according to Mrs. Ball?

Well, “the popular, charismatic, competent woman of the people.” Palin used to be of course.

Sarah used to be “…warm and supportive with her staff” she was a governor who “frequently misspells in haste or phonetically (“nonsensicle” for “nonsensical”)”.

Palin is such a doofus don’t you know?

Now she’s become an “airhead” or a “prima donna”.

Continuing on with her narrative of the two Sarahs…Mrs. Ball tells us Palin used to be “active in guiding policy, a self-assured politician who knows where she stands. When she feels she’s been left out of the loop.”

This, as opposed to now where she “whines constantly about her treatment by the press.” As if she didn’t have reason or justification.

Palin “uses subterfuge to manipulate her image, ghostwriting a letter to the editor praising her, for instance, of(or?) conducting a phony television interview in which she reads answers from a teleprompter.”

Apparently Ole Moll is an arm chair psychologist in addition to being a crack pot Politico journalist because she has now diagnosed Palin as a paranoid!

“She increasingly sees enemies all around, repeatedly demanding to know whether her privacy has been breached.”

Mrs. Ball continues the Palin is a paranoiac line with this bit of psychobabble:

“She convinces herself that rumors about her last pregnancy have been deliberately and maliciously spread by an enemy in the state Legislature.”

Somehow Ole Moll doesn’t trouble herself with the possibility that Palin might know what she’s talking about in this instance….I mean…someone started this rumor…right?

Is it possible it could have been started by an enemy in the state legislature as opposed to an enemy from parts unknown? Has it occurred to the all knowing Molly Ball that maybe Palin knows full well the source of the rumors that Trig is actually Bristol’s child?

Of course not…there is no way Sarah Palin could be privy to knowledge or evidence that hasn’t been indexed and cataloged in Molly Ball’s all knowing mind.

These possibilities don’t concern Mrs. Ball…Besides…We wouldn’t want to ruin a good narrative with troubling facts or details…Palin is paranoid…that’s all there is to it and that ends the discussion.

Putting her Journ-o-List hat back on Mrs. Ball rambles on firing one cheap shot after another in rapid succession:

Palin is prone to “darker tendencies — defensiveness, thin skin, grudge-keeping — hardened into tics.”.

So now Dr. Ball has diagnosed Sarah as having a psycho/motor disorder commonly exhibited by individuals with Genetic disorders, Psychosomatic anxiety disorders or brain damage induced by oxygen deprivation or head trauma?

What a brilliant person this Molly Ball.

Thought that ended it?

Nope….Ball goes on…and on it seems.

Palin is “doctrinaire” a “Knee jerk partisan”,

Sarah Palin is “Paranoid” (But Molly already said that didn’t she?).

Palin is “Belligerent”, has a “chip on her shoulder”

Finally….Palin is…gasp…“gleefully antagonistic”!

Of course Mrs. Ball couldn’t be accused of being antagonistic could she? Not on the merits of this example of Journ-o-Listic excellence.

Yet still it goes on.

Sarah has become a “polarizing….freelance sharp-tongued partisan” accusing the sweet and innocent so called “objective press” of engaging in “Blood Libel”.

Yeah Sarah…why can’t you just shut up and take it when the press en masse accuses you of being responsible for every left wing paranoid schizophrenic off his meds, (this one was diagnosed by real doctors by the way), who picks up a gun and shoots a congresswoman half a continent away from Alaska and has no connection to you whatsoever?

How dare you Sarah Palin?

The petulance! The arrogance! What unmitigated gall you exhibit in daring to confront the so called “objective press” when they get it so wrong as they try to grind you into pulp….don’t you know you’re supposed to lie down and take it?

Finally I’ll point out the irony of Mrs. Ball actually trying to make the leap from what a great, caring and sympathetic person Sarah Palin was before entering the national political scene to what a “brittle, divisive caricature” Palin has become while pretending the press had nothing to do with creating that caricature!

As if there haven’t been nearly three years of constant and unrelenting yellow journalism and vitriolic fire from the so called “objective press” aimed at Palin, her husband, and even her children for Pete’s sake!

Molly Ball wants to gloss over the belligerence of a journalist renting the home next to Palin’s so he can spy on her family’s comings and goings on a 24/7 basis.

Sarah should forget the hordes of so called “objective journalists” digging through her trash in Alaska and hounding her bus tour whining because she won’t kiss their collective back sides, play by their rules, and open herself and her family up to more of their propagandistic, hateful and despicable abuse.

Sarah should forgive and forget all the gotcha questions and media traps unrelentingly laid in her path for three solid years by a press that patronizes us all by telling us they are objective and just report the news.

“Just the facts mam….We just report the facts.”

Palin should forgive the fact that every Palin hater from the darkest corner of Alaska to the swamps of the Florida Panhandle has been given a megaphone by the “main stream media” to spread any and all lies they can concoct in their feeble minds.

Ball would like to act surprised by Palin’s transformation from, (as she describes it), an “upstart, “natural” political activist to hardened, combative figure”.

But how could she be surprised?

I mean, after the last three years of having supposedly objective purveyors of the news twist Palin’s every word and utterance into something unrecognizable from what was actually said…after three years of having her name, her family and her deepest and dearest held beliefs held up for scorn and ridicule….after three years of having her character, honor, motives and intelligence dragged through the mud in a fashion that would make Saul Alinski himself blush…do these vermin really expect her to cow tow to them and lay out the red carpet for them?

Some one PLEASE tell me…why would she? Why should she?

I think she’s handling them just as she should…she is treating them as they have treated her….and she’s winning by doing so because she’s showing them to be the crass, shallow and petulant children they really are.

They’ve puffed themselves up to be “would be” king makers and she proves with each mile on the odometer of her bus that they are irrelevant to her. Her fate rests in HER hands and they are powerless to stop her if she chooses to run…

Therein lies the reason for all the vitriol, propaganda and naked hatred of Sarah Palin by the so called “objective press”.

They can’t stop her. They can’t intimidate her. They can’t make her play by their rules. They can’t trash her as they have so many other conservatives and have their narratives stand unchallenged because she’ll take it back from them and beat their brains in with it….and that scares the ever living hell out of them.

I’m not a Palinista and as of now I have no plans to back her should she run, (unless Perry or another big gun refuses to come in to supplement the current lackluster Republican field…at which point I’ll be giving her another look). But this kind of crap makes me WANT to back her and give my full throated support for Palin if for no other reason than to spit in the eyes of the Molly Balls of the so called objective press!

Have you no decency Molly?…and what of the rest of your Journ-o-list cronies?.

ABC?…CBS?…NBC?…CNN?…MSNBC?…NYT?…Wa Po?

At long last….is there no decency or truth left in any of you?

I mean…talk about an immediate and unrelenting slap down.

Which is awesome. Newt was being Newt and doing what Newt does best…flap his gums incessantly while patting himself on the back for how brilliant he himself is until both feet are lodged up to the ankles in his gaping maw!

But Newt being Newt isn’t what prompted me to write this….what has truly made my day is the full throated and glorious response that has come from the Congressional Delegation of the GOP.

I can’t think of a more marvelous slap down than we’ve experienced in the House GOP’s response to Newt’s idiocy….which has me puzzled.

Yes..Puzzled.

I mean…who knew they could be so effective pounding anyone into spitting and sputtering and backtracking as the House GOP has done to Newt.

I don’t condemn it…..I give it my full throated hosanna, Amen and Hallelujah!

It’s about time they woke up and unloaded on the lunacy that has infected DC.

Yet the puzzlement remains.

And my question. is this.

Why now? Why do they’; to a man, wake up form their lethargic slumber to slap down Newt so decisively…so exquisitely artful that the act was an angelic sight to behold….

It was done in a way that displays brilliance, passion and unmatched glory when they haven’t been able to muster so much as a “hey wait a minute” when dealing with Senate and White House Dems.

Quite the contrast isn’t it?

Would that they were half as forceful and effective against Barry and Harry.

But of course…Newt’s a Republican isn’t he….there’s no harm in slamming a Republican when he’s being an idiot….but Pinch and his minions at the Grey Lady wouldn’t be happy if they went after Barry and Harry with such force, vigor and reckless abandon.

No…if Newt were a Dem….we’d have heard every word of response begun with a “my friend from pick your state”…..and ended with a couple “I look forward to working across the Isle from pick your state”.

But Newt….no we’ll gun him down in the street without a second’s hesitation…and we’ll fill him so full of holes in the process that there is nothing but hamburger where a chest once was.

Again…They are right to go after Newt…and they couldn’t have been more brilliant in the take down…it’s just a sad and sorry shame that they can’t do likewise against thouse who would destroy this country from within.

Oh well…back to sleep now…let’s not force anyone to confront the demons facing us every day…back to sleep lest we make the so called “Objective Press” and the news wires unhappy.

So, Drudge has a couple Articles up about how little Omar Bin Laden is upset that his pappy has now passed through the bowels of untold numbers of fish, crab and other ocean borne carrion and now serves as the main course for plankton and other microbes as fish feces.

Not only is he upset, he is threatening to file suit against the United States.

Let me state without reservation that I want him to file his suit. I can’t think of anything better that could happen. I think the idea is brilliant and I can’t WAIT for him to do so.

It really pains me that Pappa Bin Laden didn’t concern himself with the humiliation of those American souls who threw themselves from the top of that building to escape the flames as everything around them was being consumed…

We hear Banjos playing as the credits run

There are Sirens steadily drawing closer and we can see blue lights flashing in the distant tree tops backdropped by a star laden night sky. There is a full moon.

We see headlights speeding toward us and we watch as the headlights draw closer.

The car makes a sudden turn to the right throwing up a rooster tail of dirt as it fishtails onto an obscure dirt road…barely under control…but the turn is made thanks to the driver’s skillful manipulation of the gas pedal and the steering wheel.

As we watch, the lights go out on the car which suddenly turns into a swiftly moving shadow down an obscure dirt road and into the woods. We leave this scene as the unwitting Police, lights flashing and sirens blaring continue along the main highway and disappear into the bottom of the screen.

The sirens fade into the distance.

Cut to scene two:

Government agents; armed to the teeth, jaws and faces set with steely resolve; make their way through the woods.

It is fall and the leaves are gone from the trees. The ground is brown with dead leaves.

Try as they might to be quiet and stealthy the dry leaves crunch under their feet as they go.

We watch as they take up positions behind the trees along the edge of the woods. They watch as other agents across the field take up positions along the side of the barn.

They check their weapons and prepare to rush the final distance from the woods to the farm house in the middle of the well maintained yard about 20 yards away.

Cut to scene three:

More G-Men form a line on both sides of a door…The finest officers our Federal Government can bring to bear on an outlaw element…We now realize this must be a criminal enterprise of national scope.

We watch as they smash through this door. The camera pans to show agents pouring in from every door and window.

Our heroes make their way into a vast warehouse full of contraband and thugs hustling and bustling about as they go about the work required to corrupt our just society and innocent youth.

Surprised outlaws step back from cans and boxes filled with the contraband they were loading onto trucks just seconds before.

They lift their hands in the air as the determined G-Men push these vermin to the wall and proceed to handcuff them.

All the while other G-Men break off and go after the barrels and boxes of contraband…Axes in hand and at the ready.

We cut to a burley agent who approaches a can and pushes it over while a tall and lanky agent with an Axe held high begins his swing. The video cuts to a quick flash of the Axe head smashing into the top of the can which quickly spews it’s contents onto the concrete floor.

The camera pans back to reveal the thugs on their knees. Their hands cuffed behind their backs with agents standing over them, loaded shotguns at the ready.

There is total bedlam as more cans are overturned and other “Revenue Men” attack the now smashed And open boxes.

Agents are pulling bottles from the wreckage of wooden boxes which they begin smashing on the floor creating a sea of foam…a veritable tide of white, frothing foam that moves inexorably toward the bottom of the screen…

BUT WAIT!!!

It isn’t just any old garden variety cans that are overturned and smashed! they are MILK CANS!!!

It isn’t long neck bottles filled with beer, corn liquor, Scotch and brandy. They are MILK BOTTLES!!!

It isn’t beer foaming from the cans…It is cream…thick, foamy cream followed by endless gallons of MILK!!!

What’s that you ask?

Milk?

Yes MILK!!!

I know…it’s an absurd notion…why would our Federal Government swoop down and wreak such havoc on farmers producing milk to be consumed by a willing public?

Let’s dial the level of absurdity to a new level shall we?

Those gangsters aren’t the gangsters of 1930s Chicago fame. These outlaws wear suspenders. They don straw hats and wear well trimmed and groomed beards with clean shaven upper lips.

To add even more high comedy to the show…You can remove the car from scene one….instead of the car…we see a horse loping along this back country road. The horse is harnessed to a black enclosed wagon with an orange triangle affixed to the rear.

What of the untouchables in the woods?

If you haven’t figured out by now…The farm house they are swooping down on is an Amish farm house in the fertile farm country of southeastern PA.

Yes that’s right.

I simply could not believe what I was reading when I came across this article the other day on Drudge “Feds sting Amish farmer selling raw milk locally: Cite interstate commerce violation”

Really?

Are you Serious?

I mean…this approaches a level of absurdity worthy of Monty Python or Weird Al Yankovic.

In fact…even these comedic geniuses never conceived of an idea so idiotic at which to poke fun.

So, if I decide I want to use MY hard earned money…to buy fresh milk from a cow free of processing and pasteurization as generations of our forebears did…I am committing a FEDERAL CRIME?

Worse, I am aiding and abetting an Amish Farmer in the COMMISSION OF A FEDERAL CRIME?

REALLY?

Maybe my outrage at this comes from my childhood.

I remember my cousin, who was the same age as me, used to get up early to feed and milk the cow among other chores in time to ride the bus to school every morning.

I can remember my aunt, in the kitchen on mornings when we had the opportunity to help milk the cow, straining the milk to remove the short hairs that came from the cow when we milked her. I remember her churning the butter and making home made whipped cream.

I remember how sweet and rich a fresh glass of unprocessed and unpasteurized milk is and what a treat it was for a young boy.

And the butter…

OHH my!!

There is simply no comparison to what we buy at the store!

You haven’t eaten butter till you’ve eaten it home made on freshly baked buttermilk biscuits.

I look back and remember the hard work that went into it…and at the treat this labor of love produced and I marvel at how little I appreciated the simple pleasures of a time long since past and yearn to return to it deep down.

In all likelihood, I know I’ll never experience such pleasures again….unless I were to decide to buy some fresh milk from a farmer and do this labor of love myself….

But of course…to do so would be to make myself and the farmer a felon wouldn’t it?

I know…I’ve traveled far and wide to come to the point…but here’s the point.

I think this would be absurd if it were the STATES doing this…but our FEDERAL GOVERNMENT?

This is but one area….

It is but but one symptom of the enormous overreach of our federal nannies.

I can’t think of a better example of the sorry state of affairs we now find ourselves in.

I mean…COME ON!!!!!

Yeah, I know…the FDA goes to great lengths to point out there is no proof of increased health benefits to drinking fresh milk.

We hear the grave warnings of an increased risk of E-Coli contamination to me or my family.

But shouldn’t it be my choice to take that risk?

They also raise the specter of typhoid fever and diphtheria.

But seriously…with all the farmers in this country consuming farm fresh products from their own farms as well as 10 Million fresh milk consumers as quoted from this article…can anyone point me to one case of typhoid and diphtheria last year? What ever the number, I can’t conceive of it being so high as to justify such foolishness.

To ad insult to injury the article makes a great point:

The FDA’s actions stand in contrast to other areas where the Obama administration has said it will take a hands-off approach to violations of the law, including the use of medical marijuana in states that have approved it, and illegal-immigrant students and youths, whom the administration said recently will not be targets of their enforcement efforts.

So it’s hands off the criminal marijuana trade but we are treating Amish Farmers like bootleggers?

Or in the words of Pete Kennedy, president of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund”

… undercover stings are not unheard of. “It happens quite a bit. It’s almost like they treat raw milk as crack. It’s happened in a number of states, and at the federal level,” he said.

Hmm…Amish farmers are the new crack dealers…and fresh milk is the new crack?

HAH!!…MAKES SENSE TO ME!!!

Meanwhile:

1) We’re all fighting over a bloated federal Budget of $3.6 trillion this year;

2) We fuss about running an annual deficit of $1.6 Trillion;

3) We fight about cutting funding for NPR, Planned Parenthood, The National Endowment for the arts, and an alphabet soup of needless, wasteful and useless federal agencies;

4) We fuss about duplicative laws, agencies and regulation:

5) We worry about federal regulation suffocating every aspect of American commerce;

6) We fuss and fret about our nation’s inability to stop an invasion along our southern border which includes potential terrorists our government has decided to label “other than Mexican”;

7) We fret about the influx of illegal contraband coming through our porous borders and ports;

So our federal masters…this new breed of fearless untouchables have decided to declare a war on Amish Farmers and those who seek them out to buy their fresh, unprocessed products and tax our top heavy and overburdened criminal justice system with CRIMINALIZED AMISH FARMERS?

This would be a joke and an opportunity to dance around and laugh uproariously if it weren’t so serious and infuriating.

I can see the rational for having the FDA regulate what is sold in our supermarkets. But should it be a FEDERAL CRIME for me to give my hard earned dollars to a Farmer in exchange for milk fresh from the cow?

I think…if we’re going to reign in Federal Government and the cost of Nanny State Policies…there’s no better place to start than here!!!

I’ll leave you with these thoughts:

Is this REALLY the kind of country we want?

Is this what America should be?

Is there any reason to allow our federal government to have such power?

With all the inmates we have in the largest criminal prison system on the planet…is it REALLY a good idea to put Amish Farmers behind bars?

Is there nothing else the FDA could be focusing limited and precious resources AND OUR TAX DOLLARS ON?

I ask you, how on earth did our forebears survive these last couple centuries without these protectors of the common good regulating our every move?

I wrote this in a reply to some in Ericks FP Post today “House Republicans Leaders Want Democrats, Not Conservatives, To Vote For Their Budget”.

Even after all this time, there are those who would scold anyone who dares stand on principle of any kind…and I’ve had my fill of the condescending snarkiness of some as exhibited in the Thread in Erick’s Post…below is my answer (with major editing):

I’m reading the usual drivel from the usual suspects about purity tests impatience and the usual straw man arguments…

Here’s my take.

It’s not impatience at Republicans who are not doing anything!

It’s not “Scorched Earth Purity Tests” that have caused frustration to boil over at Republicans in Congress

It’s the pattern….

It’s Lucy promising once again if we’ll just run at the ball in an attempt to kick it…just one more time…this time….THIS TIME…THIS TIME will really be different….THIS TIME she REALLY won’t pull the ball away at the last minute and send us flying through the air yet again to land on our keesters.

Let’s review some history.

Many of us cried foul when the Geniuses in leadership came out with the Contract with America and promised to immediately cut $100 Billion from the budget if voters put them in charge of the House of Representatives.

We were attacked then as purists and anti FisCons for daring to question the promise…As if we’d object to cutting $100 Billion Dollars out of budget what included 16 times that amount…

But it was never our argument that we shouldn’t cut that much…Our argument was “Don’t make the promise if you don’t intend to carry through with it!”

Many of us knew this promise wasn’t worth the paper it was written on and we knew when the Geniuses in leadership didn’t fulfill that promise…it wouldn’t be the Democrats who were blamed for their failure to keep the promise…all we’d hear about was Republican hypocrisy in promising to make the cuts and their predictable failure to do so.

Many of us understand that cynically making a promise that you have no intention of living up to is poison when trying to build trust with the voters and the American People. But that didn’t stop the attacks for our criticism…and it didn’t stop the Geniuses from making their promise!

But I digress:

The Geniuses won with our help…

So what happened to the promise to immediately cut $100 Billion from the budget?

The Geniuses began…before the oath of office was even administered…by announcing that it would be a tough deal to actually do what they had clearly and plainly promised to do…(even while those of us being accused of purism were saying they were full of crap)…

Then they worked the bill through committee and marked up the legislation and the promised $100 Billion became $60 Billion without so much as a rumor of a fight from the Dems…there was no fight…there was no compromise to get something from the Dems in return for the $40 Billion cave….they just caved in typical Stupid Party fashion.

So here we are now….The Senate Democrats haven’t even passed a bill yet….They just stand and shout “Shutdown” and the Geniuses dutifully tuck their tails and wet themselves with every utterance of the word…

There is no criticism of the Democrats for refusing to pass a bill so they can iron this out in conference….There is no discussion of how little this cut is compared to the $1.6 TRILLION deficit this year. There is no daily demand that the Democrats in the Senate man up and do something…Oh I know…there is the occasional half hearted statement on friendly media outlets like Fox…but really…are they even attempting to fight a PR battle here?

No…There are just endless gestures of compromise…one CR after another and a declaration that no matter what it takes…no matter what baby is split to prevent it…there WILL BE NO GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN….Just stand your ground Harry Ried and we’ll give you your wildest dreams…

It has always been so…has it not?

Now we find out that the Geniuses are planning on forming a coalition with Blue Dog Dems and plan to stiff arm Conservatives?!

This, no doubt, will mean the promised $100 Billion in cuts won’t even be $10 Billion by the time these whimpering sniveling, craven curs and cowards capitulate themselves into a cowering quivering mess on the floor….

Yet here we are…

Those of us who said, “don’t make the promise if you don’t intend to carry through on it.” are called names and scoffed at and scolded for not being team players?

We’re “SHUT IT DOWN NOW scorched earth purists” and we have OUR Conservative credentials questioned?

The unmitigated gall of some here who would question ANYONE’S conservative credentials while simultaneously making excuses for the endless compromising and the belly dragging tail tucked between the legs piss dribbling cowardice exhibited by the Geniuses in leadership is simply breathtaking in it’s idiocy and stupidity!

This Post started out as a reply to Arron Gardner’s post “Taking a hiatus, here’s something to chew on for the primaries.”. It got to be too long so I turned it into two Diary Posts in the end.

I do tend to go on a bit don’t I?

I’ll save Palin and Romney for last because they both need special attention and because I believe…in the end…it’s going to come down to a choice between those two.

Haley Barbour

I’m most in line with Barbour and am currently supporting him as my number one pick..

Mainly I like the way he speaks…(as a fellow southerner?…who’d have thunk it, right? …heh)

…anyway…

He has a down home way of putting things that makes sense to the common man and I think he could sway a lot of social and fiscal issues middle class folks our way.

To top it off, he’s got a strong track record of dealing with crisis. Hurricane Katrina anyone? Talk about a contrast to the Dems running Louisiana!

I think he’ll destroy anyone in the debates… assuming, of course, the debates aren’t so crowded that he ever get’s a chance to speak. I’ve seen him deal with smart alack reporters and answer questions in a way that are not open to question. he’s quick on his feet and can turn a phrase in such a way that leaves those who would challenge him sitting in a corner drooling on themselves.

Putting on my fortune teller hat…Without a doubt, he’ll have the same problem Fred had in not being called on by debate moderators for that reason and they’ll be focusing all the lights on Romney as the establishment pick, Huckabee as a spoiler…then Palin for the fire works…she’ll get all the gotcha questions…mark it down…I said it here.

Any questions he does get in the debates are going to be about his comments In “A Boy From Yazoo City” about the role of the white Citizens Council in his hometown of Yazoo City Mississippi during school desegregation and the civil rights days.

This has already led to a firestorm, and it will continue…He’ll be poked and prodded up one side and down the other about the civil rights era and his home state of Mississippi…if he can get past this…(I believe if anyone from the south can get past it…Haley’s the guy)…I think he can seize the brass ring…if he can’t get out of this predictable vice…then he’s toast…

His history as a lobbyist is troublesome as well…but he has a way of saying…”yeah, so?” that is disarming. Again he’ll have to clear this hurdle. I believe he will…which is why I have him as my number one…but time will tell and a readjustment in my pecking order may be in order if he can’t.

Mike Pence

Pence is my next choice, (actually he’s my first…but I can’t get past what I’ll lay out here as his negatives).

I love the guy…you can go back to comments I made back on 2008 to see he’s been on my RADAR going back to then…Pence is a rock star with the conservative base…particularly social conservatives…He’s got it all on policy and is solid on all three legs of the stool.

Except executive experience….Arron Gardner, (AG), mentioned president of a think tank…but that’s paltry at best when compared to POTUS IMHO…

But the rest of America?

“Pence Who?”

“Oh…he’s that guy that looks like Race Bannon from Johnie Quest?”

“Don’t know anything about him”

He’ll have to overcome not only the Congressional Curse, (Americans as a rule don’t elect Presidents from the Senate, or especially Congress to become POTUS), .he’ll have to introduce himself to 95% of this country who don’t have the first clue as to who he is with a press not inclined to help solid conservatives become known.

Finally…after Obama…are Americans willing to roll the dice on another Unknown?

I must confess ignorance…I know a lot of Red Staters love him…I know he’s been successful in business…I know he was a star in the military…but beyond that…I know nothing…and as much time as I spend on politics and the news…I can only assume…outside Red State and a few other conservative sites…he’s an unknown…so he’ll have to overcome the name recognition problem as Pence.

I’ll second AG’s comparisons to Forbes…though Cain is more charismatic than Forbes by all accounts and more photogenic.

I love the idea of a successful businessman who came up on his own climbing to the heights of the Presidency……

Please!

You only get one chance to make a good first impression…and his first impression wasn’t good.

Starting off his introduction on the national stage by calling for a truce…for a marginalization of the vast majority of the Republican Party was dumb. A sure sign he’s not ready for prime time.

Social conservatives were told we need to give up on saving babies, the wanton destruction of the American family and the cultural bulwarks that have made this nation a shining city on a hill because we have more important things to discuss like balancing budgets and making suasage…blah blah blah.

Then he’s gone on to worsen that impression.

Several months ago he comes out declaring we all have to be “grown ups” and be willing to discuss raising taxes on a national level so we can fix our budget problem.

Just this week he made more news…leaving a poor impression on me.

Given the perfect opportunity to show his leadership skills in pushing for Right to work legislation in his state…where the Republican Party holds majorities in both houses what does he do?

He just sits there like a knot on a log…

This was his chance to shine…to save his state from Union thuggery and prove to the Midwest what Texas and the rest of the south proved in the 1980s by passing right to work laws. Unions are poison to economic growth. They kill jobs and destroy cities, counties and states. People leave big blue union states to find jobs. Ask Texas…We get to add four new Congresscritters heading for Washington this year!

Yet what does he do? Does he take on the Unions? Does he side with his Republican Legislature?

NOPE!!!

I can’t figure for the life of me what anyone sees in the guy?

Aside from a post by Erick a couple years ago…I’d had never heard of him…Erick was very positive toward him at the time but even in the glowing review we learned that Mitch Daniels first instinct as governor was to call for a class warfare surtax on “The Rich”. Only to be slapped down by the IN Republican Legislature.

Since then he’s done a great job budget wise…but I’m skeptical of his instincts. If his first inclination in dealing with a Republican Legislature in Indiana is to call for a surtax on the “Rich”, what’s he likely to do if confronted by a Harry Ried and Nancy Pelosi in control of the House and Senate during his tenure as POTUS?

My guess is he’d get rolled! If not roll over like a good boy! He’s already shown a penchant for progressive tax the rich class envy…so why wouldn’t he sell us down the river on the issue if pressured by a Dem House and Senate?

Last but not least is his personality…or lack thereof.

Are we really going to run Mr. Milk Toast himself against Mr. Personality?

We saw how that worked with McLame of “respectful campaign” fame.

Aside from being a sell out and an annoying son of a…well…you all get that I don’t like McCain…Johnny Mac has all the personality of a dead fish…except…McCain shows some signs of life…I’m not so sure of Daniels on that count.

Teleprompters or not…Obama is anything but boring…in campaign mode he’s brilliant…the Teflon seems to be gone now…but will it be in 12? A lot can happen in a year…and once Obama get’s going in campaign mode…he’ll likely get people fired up again…and we’re going to counter that with…MITCH DANIELS???

Even if all the tax the rich baggage weren’t true about Mitch…do we really want to see HIM carrying our banned against Obama? Think back to Al Bore in 2000…or Michael Dukakis in 1988…Obama would KILL him on personality alone…

The only reason I would give him a second look would be a desperation move to stop Romney. He’s made too many gaffs and is too liberal on fiscal issues for me.

I haven’t stopped to kick the tires on him yet…and have no reason to at the moment. If he sparks…and he can move onto the scene with a little fire behind him…I could see myself jumping on the bandwagon…He’s solid on Social issues…but on fiscal issues and federal power?…I’m not so sure…my impression is…he’d be Bush light on everything but social issues…

So…Every Republican has signed a pledge that they will filibuster any measure brought to the Senate Floor until the tax increase is stopped and we pass a Budget…

Yet today…according to The Weekly Standard, “Senate Votes 66 to 32 to Take Up START Treaty Over GOP Objections”

66 Senators voted to take up the START Treaty tomorrow…

So…There are 100 Senators… 42 of which are currently Republican right? Which leaves 56 Democrats and 2 independents who caucus with the Democrats…

Unless those numbers are wrong…that means 8 Republicans have just voted to allow the START Treaty to be brought to the Senate Floor for Debate.

Call me stupid….but did I miss the budget vote?

I mean…if all 42 Republican Senators promised not to allow anything to be brought to the floor for a vote until Harry Ried passes a budget bill then we must have a budget passed out of the Senate…right?

But of course…we all know there hasn’t been a budget passed out of the Senate don’t we?

Because Mitch McConnell is raising all kinds of hell about what a travesty this budget bill is. As I write this, John McCain is on Hannity talking about how tone deaf the Democrats are for bringing this budget to the floor.

Yet we have 8 Republican Senators VOTING to allow debate on START to begin TOMORROW?!

I guess these 8 weasels have decided to DEEM this budget as passed and have moved on to the next item on the Obama Reid agenda and all the noise being made by Republicans about how awful this budget is just is so much hot air and has all the potency of a fart in a category five wind storm!

All the talk of reading the bill…and anything else is just bluster and blow….We can expect NOTHING on this except racket and noise…in the end…Harry and San Fran Nan will have just what they wanted…and the next Congress will be left to clean up the steaming pile of dung left behind.

“But Ace…Demint didn’t vote to bring START to the floor!”

Well…yeah…that’s technically true…but in agreeing to back off his PROMISE to slow this down..Demint might as well have voted with the nine. On top of that…in standing by and letting this come to the floor today when he could obstruct and slow it down…he’s just as guilty as the nine of breaking his pledge to not allow votes on any legislation until we’ve dealt with the pending tax increases and the budget.

I take no joy in saying this….because Jim Demint has been a beacon of hope in these dark two years of the Obama regime….He’s my Hero….I’m so skeptical and jaded to the point where I don’t have heroes….but rest assured…he is betraying us today as much as any of the nine listed above if he doesn’t make a stand on this.

By the way…Reports are that the pile of turds called a budget dropped on the floor yesterday is to be voted on this weekend.

You can slow this down Senator…and give us time to help build opposition to these travesties….do nothing and you join the RINOs in giving us the finger….

OK, So…it’s a couple weeks since the TSA’s invasive searches began and since I haven’t a lot of time to blog, I haven’t weighed in on the subject yet.

I was originally thinking everything has been said that could be said…but today…while listening to a week old Podcast of the Rush Limbaugh Program…The thought occurred to me…that not everything has been said on the subject…unless of course Rush has said something in one of my as of yet un-listened to installments.

So…What hasn’t been said?

Well…let’s wait for the answer for a moment…and put some context on my thoughts…

I’ve been preaching at my Mom who is staying with us at the moment about the intrusiveness and over the top nature of the way the TSA is going about this…On the one hand…you can opt for the equivalent of a strip search…or you can opt for what we used to call in my military days a combat pat down.

This is when you cover every inch of a suspect’s body including anatomy with your hand squeezing…checking every crack, crease, and crevice for items taped, inserted, or otherwise concealed in the folds of an individual’s skin or musculature.

Oh…ADD moment…a word on the Combat searches…and the groping of people’s bikini area…I know why this is being done…and I can speak from experience that it’s important to grab and grope the crotch area. When I was a young Airman in the Security Police, We regularly participated in exercises to train us how to deal with flight line threats and unauthorized breeches of high security areas.

As such…we would have to combat search our fellow SPs. Being the shy country boy I was at the time…I was constantly in trouble for avoiding the crotch area when doing my pat and squeeze searches…I always thought I had covered the area well enough to not miss anything and couldn’t bring myself to touch a fellow airman’s “junk” until one night I was doing a search on my Flight Chief…I started with the left arm and worked to the belt line squeezing first the chest muscles,,,then the back muscles and then down the sides…repeating on the right…I did the belt line and then the buttocks thoroughly and then proceeded to do my usual “close enough” groping of the crotch region, first from the front…then from underneath and behind…at which point I proceeded to work down the legs…

This requires an officer to squat and bend down losing sight of the upper half of the suspect’s body…

Well…imagine my surprise…as I’m bent down with my face all but buried in my flight chief’s side I find myself staring directly into the barrel of a life sized replica of a Colt .45 Army issue automatic pistol which my flight chief had pulled out of the crotch region I had considered to be “close enough”.

Those of you who have held a colt automatic know how big they are and the fact that I had missed it taught me to never be shy again…something that served me well in my later years working corrections.

I lay all that out to say…I understand the reason for the grabbing and squeezing…and all the “Junk touching” as a necessary evil…and I support it…in the appropriate context…I’ll explain the appropriate context as we get further along… end ADD departure and let’s get back to the 800lb TSA Agent in the room.

As I was saying…I’ve been preaching at Mom…because she sees nothing wrong with what’s going on in this area…I’ve gone down the Ben Franklin Road quoing him:

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

To no avail.

I’ve quoted the Forth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Again to no avail….

So…how to drive home the over the top nature of what is being done here?

I mean…could the Forth Amendment be any clearer? What probable cause do the TSA and the government have to justify violating traveler’s “Persons”?

It doesn’t seem to me that wanting to get from point A to Point B by flying the friendly skies provides probable cause to justify doing a virtual strip search of a person…or doing a combat pat down of what we USED to call suspects when justifying the search…

All because Mohamed Atta and a group of America hating murderers decided to destroy this nation and everything she stands for by flying planes into buildings? (Maybe they succeeded in doing far more than they believed possible that day given what we’ve surrendered as a result?).

So…Here’s the 800lb TSA Agent in the room everyone is missing.

What happens at some future date…when a group of America hating extremists walk into a crowded theater…or a Hanna Montana Concert…or some gathering of people in the tens of thousands on the DC Mall…or a football game…or…name your venue….what happens when this group of men walk amongst a tightly packed crowd and blow themselves up along with a couple hundred screaming fans watching the Spurs win their next championship…(heh…couldn’t resist).

What will America be like in 20 years…when you are forced to choose between a grope and squeeze pat down or a virtual strip search in order to attend a professional sporting event…Would you want to live in this country if every time you went into a mall, or large shopping center, office complex and/or business center you were to be treated to this kind of invasive search? How often would you stay home rather than be violated that day?

Are you ready for such an America that requires you to showcase your “Junk” at every turn?

For what? To prove you are worthy of trust? To prove you are innocent of any evil intent when you’ve done nothing to justify suspicion to begin with?

“Ahh Ace”… you say? “You’ve lost your mind…it’ll never happen in America!”

Yeah…that’s what I was told in the 90s…when the Dems were going after “Big Tobacco” adding punitive taxes because of the extra burden cancer puts on the Medicare and Medicaid systems…I said then…that if they could do it to tobacco…they could do it to McDonalds…

Well look at at em go in California…more specifically San Fransisco would ya?!

So…What is it I advocate? When do I think it would be OK to do the combat pat searches or virtual strip searches?

Like the Forth Amendment says…when and only when they have probable cause.

Do as the Israelis do. Watch for behavior. Pull those acting suspiciously aside and observe and question them….make them go through layers of security like an Onion being peeled as I’ve heard their system described…

Arm the pilots…as El Al does…and have armed guards on every single flight….Terrorists go for soft targets….harden the target and you defeat the terrorist…

Believing every American who flies is a suspect simply because they decide to travel by air is lunacy!

There is a reason we haven’t had another 911 since we put Air Marshals on our planes…and we’ve had passengers willing to take action rather than passively letting terrorists have their way.

It stretches our resources too thin searching innocent people, frisking Grandma and the 3rd Nun in line looking for the items identified in the terrorist’s last attempt while leaving them to attack in a way we haven’t thought of yet because we’ve been so busy reacting to them instead of beating them to the punch!

By now, everyone has heard that Mitch McConnell has supposedly heeded the voice of the people and decided to champion the cause of earmark reform.

According to The Weekly Standard Online, Some time around 2:18 pm Mitch McConnell went to the well of the Senate and made the following statement:

…..Nearly every day that the Senate’s been in session for the past two years, I have come down to this spot and said that Democrats are ignoring the wishes of the American people. When it comes to earmarks, I won’t be guilty of the same thing.

Make no mistake. I know the good that has come from the projects I have helped support throughout my state. I don’t apologize for them. But there is simply no doubt that the abuse of this practice has caused Americans to view it as a symbol of the waste and the out-of-control spending that every Republican in Washington is determined to fight. And unless people like me show the American people that we’re willing to follow through on small or even symbolic things, we risk losing them on our broader efforts to cut spending and rein in government.

That’s why today I am announcing that I will join the Republican Leadership in the House in support of a moratorium on earmarks in the 112th Congress.

You would think…with such high minded rhetoric referencing the historic significance of the recent elections in the rest of his speech that Mitch FINALLY gets it….

Well…you would be wrong!!!

You see…there is another article at “The Weekly Standard” that was published just 20 minutes before Mitch made his stirring speech….DeMint Thinks Earmark Opponents Have the Votes

You see…Mitch didn’t suddenly see the light….he wasn’t heeding the will of “We the People” when he made his decision to back the ban on earmarks…He didn’t cave to pressure from phone calls of angry constituents or anything else….you see…it’s really just as simple as the fact that HE LOST! He hung on till the bitter end….Bitterly clinging to his earmarks!

The die was cast…so…he could go down with the ship…or he could jump onto the life boat just as the last square inch of the ship disappeared beneath the waves…In short Mitch was the last man off the good ship “Earmark”

But wait…there was one who went down with the ship isn’t there?

So…when you pass by Inhofe as he’s twisting in the wind…be sure to pat him on that back…and console him for being the last man standing while Mitch sailed away smiling into the sunset!

OH HOW I LOATH HYPOCRITES. And McConnell is the very definition of the term. The fact that he’s still the minority leader is an affront to the party and those who support her!

Tin Ears And Earmarks. So What’s A Conservative Tea Partier To Do?

So, here we are…less than two weeks after the Republicans have been given a new chance to show they can govern by the will of the electorate….less than two weeks after the Tea Party swept them into office in a tidal wave of anger in numbers not seen since 1946!

A wave propelled by the battle cries of, “Stop the irresponsible spending,” and “End the corrupting influence of Earmarks.”

This is a time when I had planned on taking the precious little time I have to write diaries and rub Obama’s nose in the mess he’s made on the nation’s floor and swat him on the nose with the proverbial news paper by reminding him of his comments to John McCain during the so called health care summit…

you remember…This was when Obama Arrogantly told John McCain…

“Let me make this point….ahhh John….Because we’re not campaigning any more….The election’s over!”

Or when he arrogantly marched the Republican leadership up to the White House after the 2008 elections and informed them that things were going to be his way or the highway because “WE WON!”

I had envisioned torturing the Democrats as a mischievous and malicious little boy does a fly picking off each leg one by one…picking off it’s wings…and then giving it the final coup de gras by burning it to death with a magnifying glass.

So here I am…dying to dance with glee on the graves of so many lame duck Democrat’s dead and rotting political corpses…But it appears the digs at the Dummycrat’s expense above will have to do because I’m being forced to point out the obvious to a thick headed RINO leadership that they are on probation!

I realized it was not meant to be as I read NRO Online Friday and was treated to this little gem from Senator Inhofe: Eliminating Earmarks is a Phony Issue

Of course, we all Know , thanks to Erick Erickson, “CALL YOUR REPUBLICAN SENATOR NOW: Support Senator Jim DeMint’s Earmark Ban, That Mitch MCConnell has decided to tilt at the anti earmark windmill as well.

But Inhofe? So Public in his arrogance no less!

Come on…The article isn’t even all that well reasoned…

I mean…seriously!…Armor for the troops and the C17 depend on earmarks? Seriously? As if these spending measures wouldn’t pass on their own merits?

The only argument I hear from Inhofe or McConnell that makes any sense…and has any merit at all is that…by not distributing these funds by larding up every bill that passes through Congress is that the Obama Administration would then get to spend it the way it wants to…

Which is absurd on it’s face since the Congress could simply take back the discretionary spending these earmarks represent by un-appropriating it, (is that a word?) using the power of the purse given to it by the Constitution…or it could hold down the debt limit which would stop the government from borrowing those funds in the first place since it doesn’t have them to spend to begin with.

I can only sit back in breathless wonder at this point and congratulate Senator Inhofe in his promotion to the number 2 position on the “To Primary” list for 2014…just after Lindsey Graham!

Lest we forget…it was only four short years ago that the Republican House and Senate majorities were swept away by the Democrats….and unless my memory fails me…The primary rallying cry then was: (Aside from the “Bush is EEEEVILLLL, Cheney…Enron…Haliburton, Bush is EEEEVILLLL” chant), “Culture Of Corruption” and “We must end the influence Jack Abramoff and K Street lobbyists by doing away with the corrupting influence of EARMARKS!!!!!

And now the old Bulls and the RINO establishment as epitomized by Mitch McConnell and James Inhofe are going to spit in the eyes of the people they are going to need 2 years from now to take back the Senate and sacrifice the freshmen Senators sent up there this year on the alter of the great god of EARMARKS!!!!!

What arrogance…What unmitigated gall!

And even more galling…is the dishonesty of those who voted in the past when there was no chance of it passing….to show us how they are against the practice…(Mitch McConnell anyone?)…now that it would pass with their votes….these LIARS are actively campaigning against banning them…and singing the praises of the earmarking process as if it were virtuous and praise worthy by pointing to the founders who used the practice…Can you tell me Senator Inhofe…how many times did the founders attach 4000 earmarks to a single omnibus budget bill?

And what of the great anti earmarking crusader we were all told simply had to be the standard bearer in 2008 because he hated earmarks and had never voted for a single earmark in all his Senate career…surely that paragon of virtue and honor, John Sydney McCain is going to vote for the earmarking ban on Tuesday…isn’t he? I mean…he’s a pillar of honesty and integrity and simply HATES the corrupting influence of money in politics and the earmarking process…he’s campaigning for the ban right? He’s standing shoulder to shoulder with Jim Demint and all those new tea party freshmen hitting The Hill fresh off the campaign trail…right?

You’d think so wouldn’t you? but he’s not…he’s on the sidelines…and is listed as undecided in the list of Senators I will present in a second. What a hypocrite. What a lying, sniveling blowhard!

Tuesday is when this is all supposed to be decided…and I’m begging all who read this to take the names I am providing and contact every single one of these Senators….Thank the ones who are standing with Demint…Curse the ground of every one of them who has come out against him and this ban…and above all…twist the arms of the cowering yellow curs who won’t commit to banning earmarks going forward at the end of the list.

Fox News has done an interview with Christine O’Donnell which ran Saturday.

Everyone knows the story. Everyone knows the smear job that’s been done on this girl. Every fair minded person knows the unfair characterizations of her!

Starting with Bill Maher, trumpeted by the so called “objective media”, and magnified by Carl Rove and his clown followers in the Republican Establishment she’s been caricatured to be everything from a witch to a tax cheat to a Christian country bumpkin and everything in between.

That said…it is one thing to know it. It is another thing to BELIEVE it. It is yet one more thing to be outraged by it.

I’ve been interested in this race all along and I’ve defended O’Donnell with my trade mark stridency here with all the above in mind. Yet I’ve been uncomfortable at times by her apparent lack of polish and poise. But it’s something else entirely to be confronted by the magnitude of the distortion when she is finally given a forum where she can speak her mind without being lead into a mine field by questions designed to entrap, denigrate and embarrass her.

Fox News carried an interview this morning with O’Donnell, and it’s the first even handed and fair chance she’s been given to speak about who she is without having to shout over someone…or have her comments Miss-characterized by a reporter before they are aired with heavy editing.

What a contrast to the narrative.

This is my message to John Cornyn, Comrade Carl, the RNC, and the rest of the Republican Establishment.

O’Donnell is within anywhere from 6 to 10 points of Coons.

By all accounts she is surging!

There is still time to help make her #10 which would put the US Senate in Republican hands.

It’s very late in the day and it’s well past time to get off your high falutin asses up there and go all in in DE.

You can help her in these last days…and help yourselves in the process with your own voters and with another seat that may well put you in charge of some very important committees.

Who knows…you might even get a small measure of credit for her victory should she win despite your cretinous behavior up to this point.

Do nothing and and you can rest assured: If she wins…She will have won DESPITE you, not because of anything you have done:

YOU DESERVE NO CREDIT WHAT SO EVER!

If she loses by a few points because you refused to help….because you decided to join the talking heads in starting every discussion about her with the “she’s unelectable” meme…Because you pined for the glory that would be a Senator Mike Castle with every syllable….And Whined about the ignorant unwashed hicks and hillbillies who nominated her:

YOU DESERVE EVERY MODICUM OF THE BLAME!

Don’t you DARE attack the people who nominated her for their lack of sophistication in turning their noses up at Mike Castle!

In doing so…you point out your own lack of sophistication in refusing to get on board with the people’s choice! You have soiled her name with your despicable behavior and soiled yourself in the process.

The lady I see in this interview is so far and away better than what she’s been portrayed to be by you and your MSM cronies that it takes my breath away. She deserves better than what she’s gotten from the lot of you…and she deserves any help you can still give her!

Shame on the whole lot of you!

These are heady times are they not?

Just two years after the 2008 wipe out and the political obituaries had been written for the GOP, we’re poised to make history all across this nation. Be it in races for the US House, US Senate, or in Governors Mansions, the GOP is on the rise….this tidal wave is sweeping the nation and threatens to overwhelm the Obamination.

It’s fun to watch…and it’s fun to bat ideas back and forth about whether Republicans are going to gain 50 seats in the Congress…or will it be 60? 70? 80? seats? Ive seen estimates that as many as 100 House seats are in play.

Or the US Senate….Will we get the 10 we need to take back the Senate? If we’re competitive in 16 seats as reports seem to indicate….could we get 12? 14? 15? Maybe we can get a clean sweep of all 16!

And let’s not forget Governors mansions. Reports I’m reading are saying we could have upwards of 37 Republicans living in Governors Mansions across this great land come January.

Then there are the RINO wars I keep getting bogged down in….Many of us go back and forth about whether this conservative can win or not…or if that RINO is worth supporting and if we should even care if they win or lose? Many of us get apoplectic at the lack of loyalty we see as some so called moderates refuse to endorse their victorious primary opponents or actually endorse the Democrat…

Many of us go on and on about whether we should support the NRCC, the NRSC, the RNC or should we give directly to individual candidates? Is it time for Steele and Cornyn to be shown the exits? Have Senate Republicans gotten the message yet? Will the elites and the ruling class ever get the message?

In all this back and forth…Let me take this opportunity to say…I love a good debate. I love staking out my territory and defending it. Sometimes I’m overly strident in my positions…and often I go over the line in attacking people who are more my ideological brethren than they are my enemy. Many of you can attest to the fact that I too often swat a fly with a sledge hammer…Not only that, I often set off a keg of gunpowder for good measure!

For those of you who have been on the receiving end of my barbs…let me tell you all…I’ve never intended anything I’ve ever said on this site personally…and if any of you have taken something I’ve said too much to heart…please understand. I can go toe to toe with you one minute…and have your back the next…we’re family here as far as I’m concerned…and much like I am with my sisters…I can slap you around when we disagree but if someone else slaps you around who isn’t part of this family…BACK OFF while you still can buster!

But I digress…

My point is…

In all the excitement…in all the banter back and forth….in all the infighting……in all the high fiving…the patting each other on the back and congratulating each other in these final weeks…there is something we should definitely not lose site of…and that’s what I want to talk about.

There is another battle to win before November 2nd and it is arguably the most important battleground this year.

It’s not as glamorous as focusing on all the above….it’s not glitzy….it’s not as exciting….it is a battle field devoid of star power….it is a place of drudgery and thankless struggle.

I’m reminded of my days playing Football as an Offensive Lineman.

While all the attention was focussed on the full back…or the Tail Back…or the Wide Receivers….and the QB…I was one of the guys grinding it out on the line.

Every time one of our Backs broke loose for a big gain…it was me…and the grunts in the trenches that opened up a hole for them to run through.

Every time a Touchdown Pass was thrown…it was the Offensive Line that gave our QB the time to find an open receiver.

In Football….the games are almost always won or lost on the line…we didn’t get any glory….we weren’t the super stars….but in the end…we could go home at night knowing we made the difference in a win and a loss.

So…who is the line that I’m talking about….who are the folks grinding it out who will make all the difference to our future victory/victories and will never get the glory?

I’m talking about State Legislative Races.

Lest we forget, This is a census year. The 2010 Census is finished and 2011 is when the redistricting battles will be fought!

This coming year can determine how many US Congressional districts Dems will have to defend for the next decade.

2011 will determine how many Republican seats in the US House will be safe seats. This is the year when it will be determined whether we play on the Enemies home field…or if they will play on ours.

And in all this…the decisions will be made in State Legislatures.

So…in the closing weeks of this campaign…I want to make some suggestions…This will have to be done carefully because we don’t want to take away anything in the last weeks from the gains we are about to make nationally.

We need to…where possible…focus excess time and resources on state legislative races.

If you are in a district where the race for US Rep is all but over…whether the Republican has it won already….or if you have the misfortune of being in a district where the Dem US Rep is unchallenged….look for a State House or Senate Campaign where you can help.

Maybe you’re working for a Republican campaign for a US Senate candidate or US Rep …and there are more people working than can be utilized effectively…Look around and see if there is a State Rep or Senate candidate that can use your help getting out the vote for them.

Even, if you are fighting the fight for a US Senate candidate or US Rep who needs you…find a candidate who is running in a close race that you can push as you call and knock on doors for your US Rep. Call a State Rep or Senate campaign and see if they have literature that you can help distribute as you pass out literature for your US Reps or Senate Candidates…or pump them as you make calls for your US Rep.

If you’ve got extra money and you are thinking about giving it to Angle, or O’Donnell…or Miller….maybe you could give some of it to a local rep as well.

Finally…if you’re sitting on your duff right now with nothing to do…If you haven’t committed to working on a national race….whether it be because you don’t know what to do…or you don’t have a national race that’s worth working on because the race is already decided…call your local GOP headquarters and ask them who you could help….Tell them specifically that you want to get out the vote for a State Senate or Representative’s campaign.

They’ll put you on to someone…or give you something to do….I guarantee it!

If they don’t…post a Diary on it here….I’m sure we’d all love to hear if someone out there is turning down good help.

I said last week when Mike Castle refused to endorse O’Donnell and Lisa Murkowski announced her write in candidacy that he would be next.

I predicted he would tell us for a couple of weeks he won’t do a write in bid.

Next would be a whisper campaign about people calling on him to give them an independent choice.

Of Course, this would be followed up by the inevitable announcement that Mike just HAS to represent the good people who feel they “don’t have a voice in Washington” aren’t “represented by the extremes of either party”.

So…here we are just one week later…and listen to the chatter.

In an impromptu chat with reporters on Wednesday, Rep. Mike Castle did not shut the door on a write-in campaign for U.S. Senate. Castle, who last week lost Delaware’s GOP Senate primary to Christine O’Donnell, says that he has given “some thought” to mounting a challenge to O’Donnell and Democrat Chris Coons, but “probably won’t do it.”

Of course…we can’t expect the “MODERATE” Castle to give a categorical answer as to whether he’d leave the party that has bent over backwards to appease him over the last decade or so….can we?

That’s how it starts….”Well, I’ve given it some thought…and it probably won’t happen.”

This is then followed up with, “Well, I’ve heard from a lot of good people that want an independent voice, someone to represent them because the two parties do not represent their views…

Ohhh…wait:

“I have had a lot of people approach me about it . . . my approval rating is still high.” Still, he says, “I don’t want to necessarily interfere with Republican chances.”

Of course, not only does Castle give the game away by pointing to his “high approval ratings”…the next couple of paragraphs tell the tale. When NRO asks the obvious follow up…

What can O’Donnell do to secure your support?

Well…what would you expect any self respecting “Republican” moderate to say?

“That’s a maze I couldn’t even get into at this point,”

Which brings me to the point of my story.

What does he make of Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who recently mounted a write-in bid after losing her GOP primary? Since then, she has lost her leadership post in the party.

Keep in mind, this is before the GOP decided to allow Lisa to keep her leadership status on several key committees AFTER she went rogue running against the party and her nominee in Alaska.

“I understand what the Republican party has to do,” he, (Castle) says. “I can’t thank the Republican party enough, the senatorial committee . . . I understand that when someone else is nominated, they have the responsibility to help that person.”

“I think there is still room for moderate Republicans,”

To bad the party apperently didn’t understand as well as Castle what they “HAD TO DO.”

This is why the votes on Murkowski concerning her leadership of important committees is/was such a big deal.

The reason to strip Murkowski of her leadership assignments on key committees wasn’t about “punishing” a rogue member of the caucus who is sticking her thumb in the eye of Republican voters in AK, (though a small measure of just deserts would be very sweet indeed).

It’s not even as important IMHO to keep her from using those leadership positions to make the case as to why she’d be a better Senator from AK than Miller would because of her power position, seniority and ability to bring home the bacon, (though that is an important reason as well).

For me…and anyone interested in advancing the movement against entrenched progressives within the Republican Party, the reason to remove her from her leadership assignments and strip her of her perks is to send a message to others within the Republican Party, that if you betray the voters of this party…you do so at the expense of any future you might have within the caucus should you ever achieve high office again.

There needed to be a message sent…LOUD AND CLEAR to any future party switchers…or sour grapes write in candidates that if you dare to thwart the will of voters in this party…you will NOT be welcomed back into leadership again without losing some serious skin in the climb back to the top.

So here we are a day later….From Politico:

Mike Castle will test waters with poll

Rep. Mike Castle is planning on polling a potential three-way Senate race to test his chances as a write-in candidate, a Delaware Republican tells POLITICO….

The GOP source did not have specifics on when Castle’s team would conduct the poll, but viewed it as a practical step even if the nine-term congressman was unlikely to re-enter the race.

A spokeswoman for Castle, who put the chances of him running as a write-in “under 5 percent,” said her boss likely wouldn’t settle on a final decision before next week.

Said Castle spokeswoman Kate Dickens: “A lot of encouragement has come in, nice calls from people in Delaware who want an independent voice.”

So…based on that…there is a “POSSIBILITY” of a write in campaign right? I mean…Though Castle “SOUNDS” like he doesn’t “want to necessarily interfere with Republican chances,” it sure looks like he does doesn’t he?

Try this on for size:

Delaware GOP National Committeewoman Priscilla Rakestraw said she has fielded dozens of calls over the last 48 hours, MOSTLY FROM DEMOCRATS, about a potential Castle write-in campaign.

“They want to organize a write-in campaign. I’m stunned. Obviously, they don’t like their option of voting for Chris Coons. I pass them along to Mike Castle’s organization. I think they are waiting for a nod from Castle,”

SO, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY A GOP NATIONAL COMMITTEE WOMAN IS FORWARDING MESSAGES FROM DEMOCRATS TO MIKE CASTLE TO ENCOURAGE A WRITE IN CANDIDACY?

But that’s another blog for another time…file this away in your memory because this HAS to be addressed!

But of course…the NRSC and the Republican leadership has made it plain that it will back O’Donnell 100%. In fact the Politico says that “TOP GOP LEADERS IN THE UNITED STATES SENATE SENT A STRONG MESSAGE THURSDAY” that they back the nominee:

Stirs the soul doesn’t it…when you hear about how forceful the “Republican Leadership” is being as they send messages to would be party switchers and spoilers in our quest to take back the Senate from “Bearded Marxists”!

Till you look back just hours before…when they had the opportunity to send a REAL message by stripping Murkowski of all her perks.

Kind of rings hollow now doesn’t it?

And if any of you doubt Castle will make an announcement this time next week about a write in run for DE Senate…I have some ocean front property in the heart of down to San Antonio you simply HAVE to buy!

After watching this…is it any wonder she lost the Primary….she contradicts herself over and over in this and looks positively amateurish.
