The Socialist

Every age seeks visionaries to leave, in the wake of their genius, a changed world – but rarely are they found without a few strikeout also-rans getting a crack first. In 2008, millions of Americans thought they had found the real thing.

Over the subsequent two years the nation moved inexorably – though rarely without battle – toward European-style socialism. Through the warring perspectives of a few powerful, deluded men and women who claim to know what’s best for you, we reached a national drama rife with both bureaucracy-creation and wealth destruction.

The Socialist moved from the halls of academia to the offices of ACORN to a pew in Chicago, and eventually all the way to the Oval Office, all the while spurred on by the heady early days of a culture-changing phenomenon in the making. In the midst of the chaos and mounting disasters, average American citizens began to object, eventually adding up to more than the sum of their parts in what has become a multi-front, 21st century clash of worldviews.

.

This film has not yet been rated, but the story received a solid B+ from the White House. Catch the beginning of the end in theaters November 2010, with the ultimate conclusion to be seen worldwide in November of 2012.

There’s been so much garbage from Bama it’s easy to forget stuff like this:

But Washington is a city that likes its traditions, and Ms. Rogers has raised a few eyebrows by trying to bend them. When former social secretaries gave a luncheon to welcome Ms. Rogers earlier this year, one participant said, she surprised them by suggesting the Obamas were planning a ?non-religious Christmas? ? hardly a surprising idea for an administration making a special effort to reach out to other faiths.

The lunch conversation inevitably turned to whether the White House would display its cr?che, customarily placed in a prominent spot in the East Room. Ms. Rogers, this participant said, replied that the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display ? a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood. (A White House official confirmed that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the cr?che.)

Yet in the end, tradition won out; the executive mansion is now decorated for the Christmas holiday, and the cr?che is in its usual East Room spot.

“I love how it ends, fading out to ‘I don?t belong here.’”

Being an old “Cannon cocker” (artilleryman), that was totally lost on me (have to admit I miss lots of stuff, even with hearing aids the background music is often so loud I can’t catch the singing/voice over). It was indeed perfect (now that I know what was “sung”).

that is *wonderful* Ben. Great job!!!

And I *love* the ending, “You’d think they’d be saying thank you.”

    Socialism Examined
    David L Lamon

I can?t find a better way of revealing to you than to use the bureaucratic process as a good example of how socialism can succeed and overtake a Capitalistic system. Our constitution if obeyed will not allow for socialism to succeed but with the advent of federal agencies or bureaucracies in place the constitution is easily circumvented. Recently the Supreme Court ruled the EPA has the authority to create regulations independent of the House and Senate. The problem with this ruling is it our elected officials charged with the creation and oversight of all federal agencies also have the power of the purse and can defund these agencies or bureaucracies so the Supreme Court blew it big time on this one. It does reveal we need to throw the current court under the bus and demand newly appointed justices will strictly interpret the constitution as it is and not what they want it to be or of the latter put another way, make law as you go judges.
For Your Information: about how the bureaucratic process works
One of the first goals of tyranny is to create fear in the population, fear so paralyzing that the public will accept any measure to allay it. Make the threat onerous enough and the people will relinquish everything. The government is always presenting us with a crisis, whether it is health care, terrorism, crime, environmental or whatever they dream up. We the people are left with two choices, be consumed with the crisis or let the government solve the threat of the day by limiting, constraining, or removing freedoms. Remember the old Aesop fable about the horse tormented by a boar. Exasperated, Horse asked Man for help. ?Certainly,? said Man, ?I shall help you, but first you must let me saddle you up.? Agreeing to the terms, Horse found his problem quickly resolved, but found too, the price extracted was weighty: Horse?s freedom. Of course, the moral of this story applies directly to what we see happening in America today, which is a frightened and tormented people that is willing to horse-trade away its fundamental freedoms. Test yourself; are you afraid of the IRS? Do you have confidence in the FBI? Are you satisfied with the job being done by the BATF, CIA, CPSC, DEA, EEOC, EPA, FCC, FDA, FDIC, FERC, FTC, NLRB, OSHA, and SEC? What about the ATBCB, CFTC, FCA, FEC, FHFB, FMC, NCUA, NMB, NTSB, NRC, PBGC, PRC, SBA, SSA, USITC, AND USPS? Who?s checking up on all these agencies? Who?s looking for corruption? If corruption is found, who?s prosecuting? Who?s assuring justice will be served? Did you know that for every law passed by Congress, un-elected bureaucrats in government agencies pump out on average 18 new regulations, each with the force of law? If you checked the U. S. Constitution, you would find this sort of run amuck federalism isn?t allowed. When these powerful government agencies go astray and they do and will in the future, and your freedoms are at odds with the powerful central government, whose side will win? As Voltaire noted, ?It is dangerous to be right when your government is wrong.? Another of our great founding fathers (Thomas Jefferson) imparted a bit of wisdom to us when he said, ?When the government fears the people, there is liberty, but when the people fear the government there is tyranny.
    Extreme Measures Requires Extreme Action
For this to be possible it requires men/women elected to congress with the backbone to take on the huge special interest groups and as Mrs. Reagan use to say “just say no”. Men/women ideologically opposed to the sinful practices of abortion, no fault divorce, homosexuality, pornography, etc. meaning born again sold out to God and his righteousness are what will insure the God that gave us this country and its constitutional freedoms is the most sure way of insuring our success as a people. I think it is fair to say most of the special interest groups in America today or left-leaning socialist groups hell-bent of transforming America into a socialistic country. I also must say considering their demands such as pulling a baby part way out of the womb, stabbing it in the back of the head then sucking its brains out and turning homosexuals loose on our children won?t get er? done. Sadly while we stood by our children in many parts of the country have already been indoctrinated to the abominable practice of homosexuality in early education by the education agency, which has Kevin Jennings an avowed homosexual in charge of what is taught in public schools. His title is a reproach to all of us, ?Safe School Czar? in reality means protecting homosexuals from being opposed. Yes it is very graphic but this is what is done with these babies and everyone with a conscious must be made to deal with the facts of the situation. No more sweeping under the rug or turning our heads as a people can be allowed if we want God to bless us see our offspring have the same chance at success we have enjoyed. The bible warns us that if we don?t stand up against these evil acts he will turn us over to a reprobate mind. Yes, even we that don?t participate or support these acts because of our lack of action against them put us into the mix as well. Ben Franklin in one his speeches made the point; the scriptures assure me that at the last day we shall not be examined on what we thought but what we did.”
    Conclusion
All Americans that want to retain the right to carry their guns and bibles must understand the system conversion that is fast taking place in America and get involved demanding the federal bureaucracy in Washington be cut down to size and strictly limited in their scope and ability to create what they call regulations. Congress if it is necessary to have some agencies must approve whatever these agencies attempt to impose on the American public before they can go into effect. Another change that needs to be made is that one created agency is supervised by one committee only and strewn throughout the various committees hiding responsibility for a regulation. Otherwise, no one is held accountable and we the people are craftily deceived.
These regulations are created by leftwing bureaucrats because they know what they want done would never pass muster if a vote by congress was necessary. So, quietly these agencies are created in order to circumvent the constitution but in the end has the force of law. Currently the EPA a strong arm of the one-world government is creating such a fuss among the states with their ridiculous demands by the Marxist Obama put in charge that states find themselves having to sue to keep their heads above water and then again these agencies are in direct violation of the tenth amendment, which is state?s rights. Now you see what I mean by circumvention of the constitution. Bureaucrats are unelected and not subject to your demands and this must not be allowed to happen any longer because they have gone wild. I think it is safe to say they have grown so large in fact most of the elected can?t tell you what committee is in charge of what agency. To me and hopefully you this is a disgrace. When the elected puts together a federal agency and after time has passed this congress created agency gets mad at the elected and sues them that means they have over extended their power and must be eliminated. I am talking about Planned Parenthood.
Please starts talking about these issues mentioned above to your friends and join me in writing on the blogs because I feel if we don?t get this message across loud and clear we are going to lose what we have been given by the Lord. I leave you with this thought from God himself at a time he wanted to move aggressively to right some wrongs taking place with his chosen. Isaiah 63:5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

Long but needed to be said!
I purchased a book several years ago, wish it were in every school & Home!
Name: The Light and the Glory
by; Peter Marshall & David Manuel
    Pub. 1977 by Revell
sub-title; Did God have a plan for America? If so does it still stand today?
These 2 men tracked God in everything from Pilgrims to all that transpired in forming this nation. God worked miracles in getting them into archives which had not been available before!
The one recurring theme was something we all need today!! Read it to find out what it was!!
John Adams to Abigail Adams on the passing of the
    Declaration of Independance;
“I am well aware of the toil and blood and treasure that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the gloom I can see rays of ravishing light and glory. I can see that the end is worth more than all the means.”

has been working overtime in the 20th and 21st centuries to darken the souls, hearts and minds of people and especially in those of Americans. He has convinced the majority that there is no objective truth, there is no sin, there is no evil, and man is his own god.

The results are the return to a barbaric mindset and acts. He wins when human’s darker side of nature is predominant and that dark side is full of pride, envy, hatred, immorality, and love of sin.

America has helped lead the way for the world to live in darkness and sin. We do reap what we sow.

The only hope is for every individual to realize that eternal life is the most important thing to them and beginning living that truth and live it every day.
