The Worst Campaign Ad of the Primary Season has Arrived

One might be surprised to learn that people are still giving money to Mike Huckabee’s current bid to be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party.

One would be forgiven for thinking that, assuming there are people that are still giving a campaign maxing at 2% in most polls, the money would at least be well spent.

One would be wrong, as evidenced by the single most ill-conceived “parody”, taking on the now months old “Hello” by Adele.

It was probably too much to hope that the lip syncing would make sense, or that the lyrics would actually be humorous. But I assumed that the team of campaign folks who surrounded this poor video editor and forced him or her to weave a comedy of nightmares, they would’ve had the human decency to not make it 3:30 long. THREE MINUTES AND THIRTY SECONDS OF THIS!!

I do make videos for a living so I know of what I speak when I say that this is a funny idea that was muttered by someone high up (possibly Huckabee himself) and everyone laughed and as the process unfolded and the “campaigning experts” offered their bulleted thoughts on each draft, the laughter turned to tears.

In order to make up for this, I’ll show you a much funnier Adele parody. Notice how it’s only chuckle-worthy and therefore doesn’t bore you to tears for over 3 minutes? Yeah.

Notice how the video is only chuckle-worthy and therefore doesn’t bore you to tears for over 3 minutes? Yeah. But then again I guess it’s not surprising that a campaign led by Mike Huckabee would overstay its welcome and end up simply being annoying.
