Carville Goes Full on 'Ragin Cajun,' Angry That Young Voters Don't Automatically Vote Democrat

Everyone knows it: The Democrats are panicking. Unless in some dark, smoky back room at the Democrat National Committee, plans are being hatched to switch out an unsuspecting Joe Biden for a younger, more vibrant, more hair-gelled Gavin Newsom, they are sticking with Biden. The problem: More and more of the Democrats' most reliable voting blocs are figuring out that anything Joe Biden touches is rapidly destroyed, despite the Democrats' best efforts to scare those reliable voters into submission. On a recent episode of his podcast "James Carville Explains," the Democrats strategist icon extraordinaire put that panic on full display in an expletive-laden rant aimed at young voters. Warning to readers: The quotes from Carville are rather spicey.

Carville proceeded to drag out one of two of the Democrats' tried and true election-year playbooks. He went with the old "If Republicans take control, you will have no rights left forever." In a screwball rant that could only be worthy of the Ragin' Cajun himself, Carville stated:

And then you tell these young people, if you don’t get involved right now in this election, they’re going to be involved in your life for the rest of your freaking life. If Trump and Roberts and Alito and Gorsuch and Thomas and Leonard Leo and the Heritage Foundation, if they get a hold, there will be no government left, there will be no rights left, you will live under theocracy, you’ll end up with Christian nationalism. But that’s all right, you little f*cking 26-year-old, you don’t feel like ‘The election’s important to me. They’re not addressing the issues that I care about.'

Note to Carville: Perhaps the "issues" that young people care about are becoming the same ones other Americans care about. Even though Biden still leads Donald Trump among likely voters between the ages of 18 to 29 by 19 points, that is a much smaller lead than in 2020, when Biden's lead was 30 points among that same group of voters. Inflation, healthcare, and housing were the top three issues that those young people were concerned with. Homeownership seems out of the question in a Biden economy, as almost one-third of Gen-Zers are living with their parents because of unaffordable rent and mortgage rates at around 6.6 percent. Add to that, hourly wages are lower today than when Joe Biden became President.

Carville also went on to place blame for the Democrats' hemorrhaging the votes of young Americans where every other Democrat believes the blame lies: at the feet of the Democrat messaging apparatus and political pundits. But to his credit, Carville has been warning Democrats that young voters are leaving the Democrat Party, saying:

I’ve been very vocal about this. It’s horrifying our numbers among younger voters, particularly younger blacks, younger Latinos … younger people of color. Particularly males. We’re not shedding them, they’re leaving in droves.

The problem is Carville is still convinced, as is the rest of the Democrat Party, that buying votes by forgiving millions of dollars in student loans and trying to convince young women that the GOP will ban abortions outright is going to bring those young voters who, because of Joe Biden's economy, can't afford to live anywhere but with their parents, back to the Democrat Party. Carville also addressed and promptly dismissed in another salty response the fact that many young voters think that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are too old to be President.

We have people saying, ‘I’m just not into this election, James.’ I think they’re both too old and they’re not speaking to the issues that address me. Oh, really? You’re full of sh*t. Go look at what’s going on around you.

However, this was all just the latest in scare tactics from Carville; it gets better. In another recent podcast episode, complete with another unhinged rant, Carville warned that if Trump is reelected, the Supreme Court will ban mailing items like condoms and birth control.

The police are coming after you, and they’re not very far away. This is not an exaggeration. I repeat, this is not an exaggeration. This is not a drill. This is not made up…This is not partisan. This is just fact.

This from a representative of a party that wants to tell you what kind of car to drive, what kind of stove you can cook on, what kind of air conditioner you can have in your house...but Carville wants young people to believe that Democrats are not about control. The Ragin' Cajun concluded his "Get Out the Vote" rally for the under-30 crowd this way,

So, my advice to tell these young people to get off your m*therf*cking ass and go vote because you should vote like your entire future and the entire future of this United States depends on it because quite frankly, it does, and that’s not an exaggeration.

Yeah, Carville, great job. That should be more than enough to get them to the polls. Telling them to get off your lawn must be next.
