Rick Perry has won an unprecedented 3rd four-year term as Governor of Texas. Not only did he win, he smashed his Democrat opponent by 57%-43%.

Perry won because he has been a great governor, has not initiated any new taxes, has not caved to liberals who would like a state income tax, has confronted Obama about enforcing the Texas-Mexico border, has declined acceptance of federal money when that money came with strings attached which would be harmful to the state of Texas in the long run.

Perry for President! Has a nice ring to it!

He wants to reduce the influence of DC in the states. He doesn’t want to become a Beltway guy. He is a 10th amendment guy.

Much of America is not ready for Rick Perry. The establishment Rs would do anything to stop a Perry presidency including run a 3rd party candidate.

Dont mind telling you Perry came up on my radar last year as my #1 presidential preference.

Then again, I voted for FRED! in the primary after he dropped out. Had to vote my conscience.

in the lives of the citizens.”

That’s what Perry told Ben and Francis in the interview. I think he believes he can do that by setting the example in Texas.

I’m not crazy about sending our governors to Washington. The last time that happened, we saw how he got treated and weren’t too pleased about the whole thing. Forget the rest of the country, as far as I’m concerned. Of course, if he ran for the big job, I would vote and donate. I’d be upset about losing a good governor to Washington again, but David Dewhurst is pretty solid, and he wouldn’t have to battle twelve to fourteen years of incumbent fatigue in addition to the Dems.
