Vets and Service Academy Grads Coming to See Army-Navy Game Have Their Hotel Rooms Given Away to Illegals

You'd think that if you served your country in the armed forces, you'd get a little gratitude and respect from your government—but some veterans are finding out that people who entered the country illegally are receiving preferential treatment over them.

In fact, a travel agent says at least 70 families who were coming to watch the famed Army-Navy football game were told their Massachusetts hotel rooms near Gillette Stadium in Foxboro were canceled with no re-accommodation and given to illegal aliens. This is thanks to President Biden's creating a porous southern border where record numbers of illegals are crossing into the country daily. It's also because of the blue state's "right to shelter" law, which mandates homeless and illegal immigrants have a place to stay.

One can only wonder why this law seemingly doesn't apply to the football fans.

Many were stunned to learn that they'd lost their accommodations:

A travel agent who handles hotel rooms for military families said at least 70 of his rooms at three hotels were “taken back” by the hotel management company because the state recently contracted to put newly arrived migrants there.

“That is correct,” said Mark Mansbach of Hillsdale Travel. “I have enough rooms to cover some of the people. Some people are looking around but pricing is very high. For many, the issue is safety … they are questioning the safety of remaining hotels located near those that are now filled with migrants. Lots of questions by my clients and most hotels are scrambling to come up with safety protocols.”

Florida Governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis got wind of the situation and expressed his disgust Wednesday:

One hotel management company was apparently excited to turn away paying customers who had booked reservations and leave them with no alternatives, all in the name of "responsibility":

"Giri Hotel Management is thrilled to announce our commitment to providing shelter and support to refugees at our hotels," the management company said in a statement in response to a request for comment regarding the reported reasoning for the cancelations. "As a gesture of solidarity and humanitarian responsibility, we are opening our doors to those seeking refuge in our community."

That's all well and good—but you're closing the doors on other people, presumably many of whom put their lives on the line for the country or who are from the relatively few families who do.

Although this story is taking place in Massachusetts, this and many other problems around the nation can be directly tied back to President Joe Biden's catastrophic handling of the border. His administration's been taking so much heat over the disaster that on Wednesday, Biden backtracked on one of his top campaign promises—that no wall would be built during his presidency—as Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas announced that the administration was waiving 26 environmental laws and starting a new section of wall. Ridiculous:

Biden Admin. Comes up With Brilliant Idea to Help Solve the Disastrous Border Crisis—Build a Wall

On Thursday, Biden tried to backtrack once again, claiming that walls don't work and this wall wasn't his anyway—his hands were tied, and he was legally bound to use funds appropriated for the construction. I'm not sure when this president developed such a fondness for legal technicalities considering many of his decisions regularly stretch the bounds of the Constitution.

Bumbling Biden Leaves Nothing but Confusion After He Denounces His Own Border Wall Construction

And now, as a direct result of this awful presidency, we are at a place where we value illegal aliens over American military veterans, service academy graduates, and their families. Sad.
