Chief of Gaza Hospital Admits He's Hamas, Clinic Was a Base, Terrorist Overlords Are 'Cowards'

Well, we already knew that Hamas was using hospitals as bases of operations for their terrorists. Israeli Defense Forces have provided video of fighters shooting from hospitals, operating out of tunnels underneath them, hiding caches of weapons, munitions -- even hostages taken during their Oct. 7 rampage.

Hamas, of course, has consistently denied the charges, while much of the media initially seemed skeptical and kept demanding more evidence. But Israel kept supplying it:

The distinction between operations base or caregiving institution is important because attacking a hospital, even during battle, is only acceptable in certain situations:

International law gives hospitals special protections during war. Hospitals can lose those protections if combatants use them to hide fighters or store weapons, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Need more proof that they consciously defied basic human decency? IDF has it for you: Tuesday, they dropped footage of the captured chief of a Gaza hospital admitting that he's also a Hamas commander, that his hospital was used as an operational hub, and that it once housed a kidnapped Israeli soldier.

Critics are pointing out that he is a captive of the Israelis and is not in a position of strength and that his confession could have been coerced. Viewers can decide for themselves, but like the Hamas terrorist who casually admitted to killing little kids, he seems quite calm. He actually seems melancholy about all that's transpired.

He said that over a dozen hospital workers were also terrorists:

Ahmad Kahlot, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabaliya, made his taped confession to the Israeli security service Shin Bet after his arrest during last week’s raid on the facility in northern Gaza.

In a video of his interrogation released on X on Tuesday , Kahlot, dressed in an Israeli jail uniform and seated in front of Israel’s flag, said he joined Hamas in 2010 and held a rank equivalent to a brigadier general.

Kahlot revealed that about 16 hospital staffers, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and clerks, were also members of Hamas’ notorious military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.

Why would Hamas hide out in hospitals? The answer is obvious, but it's still chilling to hear him say it:

Asked by the Shin Bet interrogator why Hamas’ top brass chose the hospital as its bolthole, Kahlot said, “Because from their perspective, the hospital is a safe place. They won’t be harmed inside the hospital.”

Kahlot also revealed that Hamas had once brought a kidnapped Israeli soldier to the hospital and used its own private ambulance service to transport the bodies of hostages tied to its Oct. 7 massacre. He did not name the soldier or say what happened to him later.

Kahlot has seemingly turned on his bosses though, and feels like they left him to fend for himself when Israeli forces overran his hospital on December 12 and captured him. They rounded up about 90 suspected Hamas terrorists in the "mostly peaceful" facility.

“They left us out in the open while they have gone into hiding,” he said. “The people are the ones who got screwed."

“They sacrificed us, unfortunately,” he said, appearing downcast.

I would have some sympathy for him if it weren't for the nagging question: who exactly did you think these people were? They seem to have no respect for human life or basic dignity, why would they care about your fate?

You signed up for their savagery, so it's hard to feel sorry for you when you belatedly realize they simply don't care.

I keep reading and writing on stories like this and can't help but be perplexed by the seemingly endless pro-Hamas protests and antisemitic incidents occurring regularly throughout our country. Hamas has shown over and over again just exactly who they are and why they are incompatible with a civil society -- and yet the usual suspects just won't listen.

But we won't stop bringing you the truth.
