It was the gaffe heard around the world when President Biden flubbed the name of a young woman murdered by an illegal immigrant, calling her “Lincoln Riley” instead of her real name, Laken Riley.
“Lincoln — Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal!” he shouted.
Lincoln Riley is in fact a big name—in the sports world, at least—because he is the head football coach at the University of Southern California. While the tragic murder is anything but funny, social media has lit up with reactions as users mercilessly mock the befuddled president’s heartless error.

The popular account NFL Memes weighed in with a montage of photos of the coach accompanied by sad piano music. “Still can’t believe he’s gone,” they wrote.

Woke Messiah asked for thoughts and prayers. "The @USC Football team could all use our support during this difficult time," they posted.

Another added, “Hey @LincolnRiley checking on ya man I was listening to the state of the union and…it didn’t sound good.”
While these posts are funny, Laken Riley’s mom was disgusted by Biden’s failure to even get her daughter's name right, as RedState’s Nick Arama reported:
“Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name – it [sic] pathetic!” Allyson Philips wrote on Facebook.
‘If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!” she continued.
The mother also posted “Amen!’ under a comment referring to Biden as “a disgrace of a president.”

People are right to mock the president into the next century over this one. It was an all-around terrible State of the Union address—full of venom and vitriol—but it was outright disgusting that the man who likes to portray himself as empathetic and compassionate couldn't even accomplish the simple task of saying a murder victim's name correctly.

Meanwhile, instead of profusely apologizing for the mistake, he's busy telling interviewers that he's sorry he used the term "illegal" to describe the accused killer. This is where his priorities lie; he cares more about using woke, incorrect terminology than he does about the senseless death of an American citizen.
