Ted Cruz Goes There on FBI Cover-Up of Alleged Biden Bribery Tapes

In the most troubling revelation yet related to Joe Biden’s alleged bribery scandal, Sen. Chuck Grassley announced on Monday that over a dozen different tapes exist of conversations involving the matter. Even more shocking is that two of the tapes supposedly contain Biden himself speaking directly to the foreign national who says he arranged the bribes.

That was all in the FD-1023 form that was shown to Congress some days prior to the writing. The problem is that no one knew that because it was all redacted by the FBI before members of the House Oversight Committee got their hands on it.

Why was it redacted? Sen. Ted Cruz has a pretty good idea.

Every step of the way, FBI Director Christopher Wray and his bureau have sought to obstruct any investigation into what could be the biggest presidential scandal in American history. We are talking about millions of dollars in bribes paid to someone in their official capacity who now resides in the White House. Given the gravity of the situation, it is unconscionable that the FBI wouldn’t do everything they could to flesh out the source of the information and to pursue all leads.

That hasn’t happened, and as a result, we’ve gotten a slow drip of information, with House Republicans (and now Senate Republicans) uncovering bits and pieces one step at a time. It should not be that way. It should not be up to politicians to do the work the FBI should be doing.

Regardless, if it is going to be up to Republicans to investigate this with congressional authority, there is simply no excuse to have redacted the information about those tapes. The only possible explanation is corruption as part of a cover-up, and I refuse to believe at this point that Wray is in the dark about all this. An FD-1023 allegedly a vast criminal scheme involving a president doesn’t get shown to anyone without the head of the FBI’s express permission.

That means Wray has almost certainly been involved in trying to hide damning possible evidence from Congress of Biden’s alleged criminality. What do you call that? You call that obstruction and contempt of Congress, and it’s high time for some accountability on that front.

Republicans have to kick things into high gear now. A subpoena of the confidential informant who wrote the FD-1023 needs to happen immediately. Whoever that informant is will be able to shed more light on the foreign national who allegedly set up the bribes. Further, that informant can provide valuable information on what the FBI does and doesn’t know, possibly further exposing the ongoing cover-up.

As to the foreign national, that’s a trickier situation. Congress should do everything it can to get that person in a hearing under oath. Unfortunately, subpoenas don’t do much when you are dealing with non-US citizens that are based overseas. Still, no stone can be left unturned, and perhaps the foreign national will be willing to voluntarily help, especially if the Bidens screwed them over.
