Conservatives, having fun — who knew?! Well, when it came to me with Michael Loftus, we did.

One of the rare diversions you get at a conference like CPAC is that people are having a seriously good time. I say rare because the perception by many outside of conservative circles is that we are not a fun-loving and jovial crowd. It’s a bunch of crap, of course. We stayed up late, packed bars, and there was an upbeat attitude the entire weekend.

We also have comedians — something the entertainment complex pretends does not exist. Greg Gutfeld is currently twisting the knife of the entertainment realm by seeing his late-night talk show dominating the established competition in the ratings, and I had the chance to have a sit-down with a guest of both Gutfeld!, and The Five, Fox News fixture Michael Loftus.

On top of those regular appearances, Michael is a touring comedian, has his own YouTube shows, and is a regular writer for sitcoms. We chatted on the quick about what it is like to be a comedian in the Joe Biden era and also his newest venture, an online series called That Show Tonight, where he is teaming with SNL alum Jim Brewer and a team of performers for a sketch comedy enterprise.

This was a raucous time, and he was even tolerant of me surprising him in the end with a dose of pop culture aggravation.
