Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is really rolling into conspiracy theory territory that could rival Alex Jones, as she is now claiming that the United States government is drugging kids in cages because of where they come from.

As pointed out by Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra, during one of her Facebook broadcasts, AOC was mid-rant about Republicans calling her out for the various ridiculous things she does, when she attempted to paint herself as better because she wasn’t drugging caged children.

“At least I’m not trying to cage children at the border and inject them with drugs,” said the Democratic Socialist. “That’s not a mistake. That is a deliberate policy to attack people based on their national origin. That’s not a mistake, that’s just hatred. That’s just cruelty. That’s just wrong!”

Saavedra noted that DHS secretary Kirsten Nielsen told Congress that this very thing is not happening:

Last month, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told the Democrat controlled House Homeland Security Committee that DHS does not “use cages for children.”

“To my knowledge, [Customs and Border Protection] never purposefully put a child in a cage if you mean a cage like this,” Nielsen said, noting that are kept in “areas of the border facility that are carved out for the safety and protection of those that remain there while they’re being processed.”

Ocasio-Cortez would like people to believe that these children are being put in cages like the kind they used during the Obama administration. Oddly enough, Ocasio-Cortez isn’t putting any shade on that.
