If it’s the latter, then it’s become so divorced from the average American that those who provide us with both news and entertainment have no real business trying to speak to us.

No matter how you swing it, the mainstream media isn’t understanding Americans at all.

On the topic of women’s sports, women and girls spend countless hours training their bodies and minds to excel in their respective pastimes. Be it gymnastics, cycling, softball, track, or basketball, women put everything they have into being the best at the sport.

Then the social justice movement comes along and demands that they move over and make room for men to compete alongside them because these men believe they are actually women. These men train to be the best as well, and it’s no surprise that they begin to absolutely demolish the competition.

Most of the time, the girls can do nothing as they’re handed second or third-place trophies while a man with gender dysphoria hoists a first-place trophy that should belong to the girls.

The girls can’t really help it, as much as they would like to. Men have denser bone structures, denser muscles, more lung capacity, and generally more height. They are physically stronger than their female counterparts, and despite claiming that they themselves are female, these men are as nature made them.

No amount of social justice nonsense can make nature just disappear.

These crushed girls and women just have to suck it up, according to the left. For the social justice advocates and hard-left wokescolds, transgenderism is a very natural thing, and everyone who denies that fact is a hateful, science-denying bigot. Resist the narrative at your own peril.

Republican lawmakers in Texas are willing to risk said peril by passing laws limiting men in women’s sports. Naturally, the press has already taken to making them seem like villains. A Texas Tribune article with the title “Texas Republicans want to keep transgender women out of women’s school sports teams” has an accusatory feel to it.

Lawmakers have filed legislation that would ban transgender girls and women who attend public K-12 schools, colleges and universities from playing on single-sex sports teams designated for girls and women.

One bill filed by Rep. Valoree Swanson, R-Spring, is similar to others filed across the country that are characterized by conservative advocates as trying to maintain fairness in women’s sports. Idaho passed a law last year called the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act.” In Montana, a similar bill, called the “Save Women’s Sports Act,” advanced to the state Senate this week.

After quoting a leftist activist who proclaimed that what they’re doing is “unsettling to transgender children who just want to live,” the Tribune adds that those dastardly Republicans are trying to stop the pushing of puberty blockers to children too:

Republican lawmakers also filed a bill that would make it a crime for doctors and mental health providers to provide care to children that affirms their gender identity or prescribe a treatment known as puberty blockers, characterizing these actions as “abuse.” Puberty blockers are reversible drugs often used by a transgender child who wants to delay puberty, including changes such as starting a period or deepening voice. The bill would also prohibit gender-confirming surgeries and hormone therapies.

What do Americans think?

According to a 2019 Rasmussen poll, only 28 percent of Americans were in favor of allowing transgendered students to compete in sports with members of the gender they identify with.

It’s not very likely that that number has shifted dramatically over the last two years, especially given the fact that it’s a topic that has received scrutiny and negative attention by sports commentators and celebrities such as Joe Rogan. This isn’t to mention the multitude of lawsuits that have arisen from local communities blocking transgendered males from entering into girl’s sports in schools.

The American people clearly don’t want it, but the press doesn’t seem to get it.

So detached from the people are those in the mainstream press that the concerns of the people are wholly ignored if not laughed at. They’re called bigots and transphobes as women are cheated and even sometimes hurt by male athletes who utilize the full power of their male bodies while claiming they’re just like the girl they’re beating.

If they don’t get it, then we need not listen to them about it.
