America Is Still Here, It's Just Not Getting a Lot of Daylight

Doom and gloom haunts pretty much every article that you read from news and commentary sites. Even the articles that talk about victories from the good guys are usually paired with cautions or caveats. It can't be helped. War is never pretty, and while there are moments of true light and goodness, these are just oases.

Sadly, as I've reiterated many a time, you are in a war. You might not be trading bombs and bullets, but you are trading words and ideas. Your frontlines aren't on some field in a foreign country, but at your child's schools, social media sites, and churches. Your war is cultural as well as political, and it's a war that never takes a day off.

And the nature of the enemy makes them appear more than they are. The left learned long ago that in order to secure victory for itself amongst a populace that heavily outweighs and outguns it, it has to seize various platforms that won't just give it a megaphone but the spotlight, making it appear as if it's the prime speaker for the people. Thus, the left made conscious efforts to seize everything from the stage to the screen and everything in between. They were largely successful and for generations, they've ruled the airwaves, the red carpets, and for a time, the social media scene.

It's enough to make Americans — and by "Americans" I mean honest-to-goodness, God-fearing, patriotic, decent Westerners — feel small. We're told we're on the "wrong side of history" and that the "majority" of people, especially "experts," don't agree with our ignorant, uneducated, flyover takes about the world. They paint Americans as dumb, hypocritical, racist, bigoted, and uneducated.

It's an attempt to make us feel small, insignificant, and most importantly, on the losing side of a culture war.

But it's all smoke and mirrors, and every now and again it's proven when the American people get together to say enough is enough.

You saw it in the Bud Light boycott

You see it in the downfall of Disney

You can see it during events like the March for Life

And you really saw it very recently with the pro-Israel march.

As my colleague Bob Hoge reported on Tuesday, the largest pro-Israel rally in United States history took place at the National Mall, sporting nearly 300,000 attendees. This far outstrips any "pro-Palestine" rally that's occurred in the U.S. so far.

Moreover, you could tell that the people who showed up were the Americans that the left would rather think didn't exist in large numbers. There were no assaults, they were waving American flags, there was a wide swath of races and religions, and nobody felt the need to cover their faces to hide their identity.

What you're seeing is the real America. It's an America that the left doesn't want to acknowledge or show you. It's an America that they themselves would like to pretend doesn't exist.

You outnumber them. They might have the big stages, the spotlights, and the megaphones (for now) but for all their attempts at brainwashing the people, they can't quite seem to take the American out of America.

While things seem bleak, this should be proof that there's still hope and that all it takes to retake America is for Americans to wake up and move. Winning this culture war will take time and action, but it's a winnable war. It's just important that we never feel the demoralization they try to thrust on us.
