Obama Tax Hikes of 2011

Check out this excellent video by my employer, The Heritage Foundation, highlighting the very real threat posed by President Barack Obama’s looming tax hike. Obviously these tax increases couldn’t come at a worst time and would seriously injure an already damaged economy.

Inevitably when taxes are increased the Predators, aka,Democrats, will try and raise spending also.
A lot of LittleLiberals will be shocked.
And the attempted destruction of the nation proceeds apace.

believe but there is an absolute logjam of legislative bills that need to be passed and signed. That’s one reason Pelosi got the house back to pass the teacher bailout bill and why the senate did the fake passing of 600 million for border security officers. There is a huge list of undone legislation and a lot is due to Scott Brown as the democrats just cannot start up debate without any GOP help. Some is due to the election of the unpopular Obama/Pelosi policies. Here is just a short list of stuff undone.

    1. No Budget outline for 2010-2011 has been passed.
    2. No Spending bills for 2010-2011 have been passed.
    3. +250 minor bills have been passed by the house but are waiting senate votes
    4. Numerous judicial-executive nominations are waiting for votes
    5. All the Bush tax are expiring and something must be done in 2010. Child tax credits-dividend-interest tax rates plus estate taxes plus regular tax brackets all expire. This is beyond huge its massive. This bill affects every individual and every business.
    6. Plus there is the democratic wish list of Cap/trade-immigration reform-energy bill plus numerous other items.

There is a massive backlog of stuff-there is to be a 4 week session from 09-13-2010 to early Oct but with election pressures what gets done? What gets done in Lameduck session? I see we are seeing gridlock–not saying that’s bad. I prefer nothing to what has been done the 18 months. Trench warfare is a good analogy for what we face
