One business woman’s view of the Oconomy

Business people seem to have a particularly good grasp of what’s going wrong in Obamaland.  Amilya Antonetti articulates it well here.

“What should the President say on Monday?” “I apologize. I apologize because i did not lead this country to success”

If only that could fix the disaster that Barack Obama and his minions have foisted off on this nation.

(Consider this an open thread)

whoa, she laid it out there! Who is she? Glad she’s on my side.

    BillS, you going to SC?

  • Bill S

(Afraid not, Cheryl. I had planned to, but I had some personal issues come up that will keep me home, pouting in jealousy about those of you who are there having a good time)

    Than a bussinesswoman scorned.

She ripped him to shreds and her arguments were flawless.
Obama could never do her job but she could replace him with more success in a heart beat.

    Pow !!!!

I can only speak for myself, but I sure don’t want to go farther down the path to socialist utopia and I’m far from being alone. And so in the absence of a majority of willing followers he has tried to get us there kicking and screaming as fast as he can drag us.

It would be nice if he changed his tune and could lead conservatives to something we like, but if it hasn’t happened by now, it just won’t ever. He really needs to seriously consider resigning for the good of the country. It really is the only responsible thing left to do.

He does not need to develop a plan. Karl Marx did it for him. Obama just was not paying enough attention during Jeremiah Wright’s lessons.

    Love that lady.

    There’s always next year.

  • ideasmatter

Yep! Right on, she could replace Barry without a hitch, but he would run her company to pot in weeks, if not, in days.

Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Kosygin and the rest in the long run: a virtual continent of countries that are now 70 years behind the rest of the world economically and politically.

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels didn’t do anyone any favors, and there are still way too many countries on the planet that are paying the price for THAT plan.

“My fellow Americans, today I’m going to teach you about margin accounts. This is where you can borrow money at low rates, and buy stocks. Do you like iphones? You can borrow money and buy Apple stock. Apple has been one of the best performers in the stock market, and you can easy own it by borrowing money at low rates. It’s the right thing to do. You like Mickey Mouse and Happy Meals? You can buy Disney and McDonalds. It’s time to buy America, and I’m urging each one of you to get a margin account and invest in America.”

“Barack is ready to rule,” I think that’s how it went?

Rulers don’t lead, and leaders don’t rule.

And I’d like to buy Miss Antonetti a drink and help her blow off some steam. ;-)

She’s great. But it was only broadcast on FOX news.
    Too bad. Nobody watches FOX.
If that had been aired across the mainstream media, now then we might have been able to change some VOTES

The recent employment numbers are most alarming, unemployed by reason, 59.4 percent persons who completed temporary jobs, Reentrants 24.7 percent. This would indicate a large number stuck in the temporary employment agency underemployed merry-go-round. You may have heard in the news about employers turning away anyone who has been out of their trade for too long, this is simply the fact that if you don?t use it you lose it. Our skilled labor force is being lost at an alarming rate, what takes generation to be built can be lost in a few short years. Being underemployed my self and not being able to use all of my skills I know this fact personally. There are some places that are better and some places much worse and in general there are too few of us to train what is needed to make a rapid recovery. Before this recession the skills trade was already fragile and now, I simply do not know if we can survive this much longer.

What is the wealth of a nation, is it something we can print and call it wealth or is it something more tangible. If you are a Conservative or on the right you probably heard the ancient principal of supply and demand, something more tangible. If you do not support this then you are most likely not a Conservative and not on the right side. I know it is much more complicated but, supply and demand in short it is a set of skills divided many times from supply, something dug or grown where it is processed, transported to where it is exchanged, demand. The less you partake in this chain the less value you are not only as an individual but also as a nation. A key element to supply and demand is the supply may be lost forever and we may have gone past the tipping point with well over fifty percent of our economy now in consumer spending. Most of our supply is now imported because we cannot grow or dig without burdensome regulations, restrictions and taxes. The true wealth of this nation is in the individual people to be the most productive in the world using the highest skills. We may be past the tipping point fundamentally changing our nation and this needs to be stopped and reversed now. What good is it to be smart but not have the skill to apply this knowledge?

The fiery words expressed by this young business woman, particularly as applied to the CEO problem solver role are spot on.

That said, we are not dealing with a problem isolated to the leadership of this country (thought it is relevant), but a systemic one in the culture that has evolved by generations of ignoring the principles that made this country great.

Our founding fathers built a failsafe protection that would allow us to return to the principals of self determination (knowing we would not follow it). It will take time to turn and go in the other direction. We need leadership on all levels from the WH to the Board Room and in our communities to recapture the culture of the past.

population of dummies in tow. It has become a matter of habit that even Normal People attribute Caesar like powers to who ever happens to be snoring in the WH. Even with degraded filth like Obama some caution is in order as it is part of this mindless habit.
Rather stress the vented hate Obama has exercised through his policies, the pattern of which leaves no doubt but is applauded by all the liberals[ ?] formerly thought to be civilized.

shorting the markets. Including the dollar and US bonds.

Heck, that’s how one famously wealthy leftist made all his money – in Europe.

  • dock3511

And the principled anger that drives her criticism. It is politicians that have failed us, of both parties, but particularly the Progressives of recent vintage. Croney capitalism, using public money for their private purposes. We do not need THEM anymore. Their greed and arrogance are killing us. Market forces will make this manifest. Time to Start Over. emanating from our “leaders” over the years — I would prefer a lack of them for a spell. That said, I agree with her that the business climate is sorely lacking in certainty, and that a large portion of this rests at the feet of the politicos on the Hill.

  • Vegas_Rick

I am short the market and have been for several months. I wish it were not so. But under the Apprentice in Chief, it’s a good bet.

Fox leads all cable and mainstream outlets according to Nielson. That is why Obama and Co. hate their guts. How dare a news agency be fair and balanced! The horror! ( sarc)
