Gov. Perry kicks off the 2010 RedState Gathering in Austin

Principles of Governing

Last night Governor Perry welcomed Redstaters to Austin with a terrific party. This morning the Governor kicked off the 2010 RedState Gathering with an awesome speech explaining his four principles of governing:

  1. Do not spend all the money.
  2. Tax and regulatory policy must be fair and predictable.
  3. Have a legal system that does not allow over suing.
  4. Have an appropriately funded and accountable public school system.

There was a lot more to the speech, but those four principles succinctly sum it all up. That’s it. It’s that simple.

We are proud of him in Texas, and those 4 simple principles that have driven Governor Perry are what make Texas stand out as the leader in economic growth (yes, even in these tough times) in the nation. We were the leader before the problems in the economy, we still lead now, and we will continue to be the leader as long as he is our leader!

4 MORE YEARS OF RICK PERRY!!!

And after the Republican beats Obama in 2012 and serves us for 8 years, would like to see a Perry/Christie ticket in 2020, if the good Lord tarries that long. What a ticket that would be, two of the best govs in the country running the whole thing.

    One can dream……

But in the meantime, lets just hope we see Michelle somewhere on the ticket come 2012.

and with Michelle, I hope to see DeMint kicking Obama butt in that same year. Oh how it would piss of the “enlightened one” to not only get beaten in 2012, but to be beaten by two staunch conservatives with one, DeMint, having been a great thorn in his side.

You have to give to Tom Emmer in 2010. If the Democrats control house, senate and governorship, they are going to district Bachmann out of her seat.

Personally, I want Bachmann for Majority leader, Ryan for speaker, DeMint for Senate Majority leader, and Rubio for president.

it was so nice to meet the people I have been talking to for many years.

And I got to meet my governor also.

I could not stay for the entire gathering, but I mostly went to meet people anyway.

      The Gathering so great!

I hope we have an open thread about it for comments and further conversation. Too little time for so many fascinating subjects!!

Vlad we have more to ask you, how about starting a thread?
