Obama finally breaks silence on violence in Libya

President Obama condemned the violence in Libya, dispatched Secretary of State Clinton to Geneva for talks aimed at stopping the bloodshed, and said he directed his administration to prepare a full range of options to respond.

Obama also said the suffering and bloodshed is outrageous and unacceptable.

Obama made these profound announcements Wednesday evening — his first public comments on the violent unrest sweeping Libya.

After being asked several questions about Obama’s silence on the violence in Libya, an exasperated Press Secretary Jay Carney finally stated it was a scheduling problem:

MR. CARNEY:  Just one second.  This is just a scheduling issue.

That’s right, because of “scheduling” Obama was not able to speak out on Libya. Not on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday nor Tuesday.

Argh! No wonder the world is going to hell in a hand-basket. With this crew in charge, no one is in charge. This is worse than having a competent progressives in charge. That would be bad enough, but these guys are completely incompetent. It’s like having a student council in charge. 2012 can’t come fast enough.

Seriously. Because it describes someone who believes cutting off our oil supply is a good thing, yet who is also somehow capable of making it work well for the country financially.

It’s one or the other, and that is why we find ourselves where we do. And if Clinton was the example you had in mind, he was far too self-involved to ever wander as far down the roads to where Obama has led us.

Okay. Got me. But there is a difference between professional progressives and these guys. This crew is just ridiculous. They are all acting like characters in a Woody Allen comedy. How is the sound lip diddles make spelled?

it wasn’t golf or basketball, he was … busy.

and I’m not sure if it’s true (yak, I’m about to defend Obama), but that Obama was waiting to make a public statement until we evacuated most/all Americans

especially in foreign affairs, is he has to wait for his handlers (read Soros and his cohorts) to come up with their new and devious strategy they want him to announce. Have known since before he was elevated, that he would be a rhetorically brilliant puppet.

Why anyone in the world would be waiting for Obummer to speak about Libya. He, or the US, have no authority to do anything except get our citizens out of there. Shut up and let revolution or anachy rule. There are enough problems here at home that need to be addressed, and he can’t do that. He, or his minions/handlers have not enough understanding of international affairs to be able to make any judgement on them.

there were no lies he could tell about the Libyan situation that would be to his advantage. Once he came to that realization the platitudes were rolled out.
