GOP Governors stand with Scott Walker

The Republican Governors Association has a new television ad defending Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in his Kerfuffle with the Obama campaign machine, and Obama’s suddenly stealthy union support, over certain Bargaining rights for Wisconsin public workers’ unions:

“It’s a sea of red ink in Madison and while senate Democrats are fleeing their responsibility, governor Walker is leading. . . . In Wisconsin, leaders don’t run away from tough problems like the senate democrats. Instead they stand and lead, like governor Scott Walker.”

They will likely blow it, but let’s pray that they don’t. Let’s show Walker our support.

The Republicans need to be adults and make the tough decisions that will actually address the fiscal mess we are in. Hopefully the public will appreciate this, take their medicine, and agree that it was necessary even if not “fun.” Realize that they can’t keep gorging on sugar and expect health and happiness.

Republicans are the party of Adults. Democrats are – well you get the idea.

in bold headlines says today that 2 to 1 Americans support the unions! The “folks” when asked if they want to tighten the belt will say yes, but if it comes to the actual cost cutting they say no! We are going to have to find some people who will vote whatever works to bring our country back, whether it “pleases” the “folks” or not; whether they ultimately lose their next election or not ! This is pretty scary……………

That poll is so skewed it is meaningless. 22% of respondents showing “support” for public unions are… public sector workers or family. http://ow.ly/45y2A

Once you get into the nitty-gritty details of who was actually polled, the “results” are bogus.

I just can’t buy into this poll.

Didn’t they also say that 80-90% of Americans liked Obama’s SOTU speech? 60% is awfully high number given the amount of people that are fed up with unions.

maybe the GOP needs to do better at messaging and helping understand that essentially unions are electing their own bosses through their generous campaign contributions to Democrats.

GOP has a lot to learn about messaging and educating. It is another one of those things we have been afraid to do. Besides what was Christie’s approval in blue NJ after going after the unions — 52%.

You are right that we need to do a better job with messaging. Governor Christie does an amazing job in explaining the problem, the costs to taxpayers, and his solutions to fix the problem. That is why his poll numbers are good. Republicans would save themselves a lot of grief if they would follow his methods of dealing with unions

The House could work 24/7 investigating Obama and his ilk.

Bucause this isn’t a popularity contest.
    It’s a budget.
