Obama’s audacious taxpayer-funded reelection campaign bus tour

Obama thinks we should pay for this reelection campaign bus tour because, in the now infamous words of Press Secretary Carney:

He’s the President of the United States.

The political nature of Obama’s trip so blatant that the biased media wing of the Democrats’ party is not even trying to hide it:

  • The Voice of America calls the bus tour a “Three-State Counteroffensive.”
  • Reuters refers to the bus tour as “campaign mode” and “unmistakable campaign style.”
  • The Associated Press reports that Obama starts a “political counteroffensive this week.”

The Republican National Committee has dubbed Obama’s taxpayer-funded reelection campaign bus tour the “Debt-End Bus Tour,” or “DEBT.”

Even as Obama has fundraiser after fundraiser in his quest for a $1 billion campaign war chest, he thinks taxpayers should pay for his three-state bus campaign bus tour. Isn’t it enough that we bought him two $1.1 million buses?

Taxpayers didn’t pay for Perry’s or Bachmann’s campaign bus? Why did we pay for Obama’s?

    Things were going great I now discover, but malignant forces beyond even the reach of Himself, Our Healer, acted in concert with unmitigated evil to thwart the beneficence and wisdom of his curative powers and the magic of Federal dollars, unlike those crummy little other dollars.
    Things were going great up until the last six months or so, and I missed it all. I really must spend less time in the garage furtively watching Fox News, the one I now realize doesn’t do news.

    The Obamboozler does anything he wants – and gets away with it. I just can’t believe this ‘in your face’ blatant campaigning can pass for anything else. Are there no campaign laws at all that deal with such obvious abuse!?

    Prohibited Contributions and Expenditures
    The FECA places prohibitions on contributions and expenditures by certain individuals and organizations. The following are prohibited from making contributions or expenditures to influence federal elections:
    Corporations;
    Labor organizations;
    Federal government contractors; and
    Foreign nationals.
    Furthermore, with respect to federal elections:
    No one may make a contribution in another person’s name.
    No one may make a contribution in cash of more than $100.
    In addition to the above prohibitions on contributions and expenditures in federal election campaigns, the FECA also prohibits foreign nationals, national banks and other federally chartered corporations from making contributions or expenditures in connection with state and local elections.

    It sounds like the government paid for the $1.1 million dollars bus that is a violation, he is using taxpayers money in effect he is using a contribution made in another person’s name.

    Obama could at least paint Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the side of the bus barking out, Blame Bush, blame Bush. When the bus stops Obama will be ready to drop his load. Earthquakes, yadda, yadda!

    Really Barry I, want to see , feel and experience how a *Real Leader* does it. I suspect the interior is entirely paneled in Mirrors and the smoke makers are in abundance.
    On the bright side this thing is painted appropriately. Ready for a metephoric funeral, Oh Say, on or about early Nov. 2012. All it needs is Landau Bars on the Rear Quarters . Can we all contribute to That Fund?
