Obama finally mans up – admits he supports gay marriage

President Obama’s politics of expediency — his penchant for obfuscation and trying to be on both sides of controversial issues, finally caught up with him. Catching heat from all parts of the political spectrum because of his  because of his bodacious gay marriage straddle, Obama finally man-upped and admitted in an ABC News interview that he supports gay marriage:

“I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.”

Many are reporting that this is the first time Obama has admitted his support for gay marriage. That is incorrect. During his 1996 run for Illinois state Senate, Obama admitted his support for gay marriage in a written response to a questionnaire from Chicago’s gay newspaper Outlines:

“I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages.”

Since then, and until today’s admission Obama has been, well, nuanced. In true John Kerry fashion:

How can Obama expect to be taken seriously on any issue when you cannot count on anything he says? When Obama states his position, you can only count on the fact that his position will change, or evolve, depending upon the audience and/or the political expedience of the moment.

    for the Won, is his upbringing and indoctrination in classical and full-blown Marxism. Just as Islam allows (expects) followers to lie to infidels, so the Won follows political expediency, but always based upon his core. Not a personal responsibility or freedom bone in his body.

      If one thinks they have a strong argument, then one doesn’t truncate the quote. Whether you agree with the POTUS or not, he had a detailed explanation, which was severally truncated in the article.

      One can certainly conclude that the truncation was done not only on purpose, but also to put the POTUS in the worst light.

      As for the charge of changing positions, I think he said I am guilty and here is why it happened.

      Which you have to admit is certainly more intellectually honest than his opponent, which clearly has changed multiple positions (many multiple) and has refused to acknowledge that he has changed.

      If your website is going to be consistent, it must be equally consistent for both parties. If not, what value do you add over and above Drudge?

        That President Obama was in favor of gay marriage, but was not stating it, was one of the worst kept secrets. He allowed his voice to be used to campaign against California Proposition 8. He stated he wanted states to have the right to decide on gay marriage, but consistently opposed the Defense of Marriage Act that would made it clear all of the states did not have to recognize gay marriages accepted in another state. As President, he refused to support the Defense of Marriage Act. Running for state legislator, he stated he favored gay marriage.

        What supporters of President Obama must know, but do not want to admit publicly, is that he clearly, clearly believes the ‘ends justify the means.” He has stated as much in the past. Read Saul Alinsky’s Rule for Radicals where he devotes a large section to supporting the view of ends justify the means. This attitude allows Obama to lie to the American public in order to get elected. The ends are his vision for America.

        President Obama is one of the most insidious forces ever in America. He is destroying the very foundation of America — economically and socially.

        And a great assortment of other writers that Drudge does not have. Also the President has always been duplicitous in many of his positions, among them gay marriage, the “new tone” and taxes. If you want to start a urinating contest about selective editing, I’d tread very carefully.

With the help of the Unions and the Chicago Left these organized crime Alinsky style mob-methods have been in use since 2007 . More than 5 persons died in the process of the 2008 election cycle, two gay men he had an affair with in Chicago, (choir boys who sing no more) 2 persons of the Electoral College, one Gay, Catholic author, one passport office clerk, wasted in his own car, as well two persons associated with Breitbarts demise that are gone ( the last person who saw him and the Coroner-RIP). Therefore, the gays know that they could be targeted and perhaps they are making their case now? If he does not deliver he could be OUTED. The Gays played this ugly game on the pages of the dailies during the hot 80′s during the AIDS crisis, naming public officials, rich players, and celebrities who did not answer the call, by publicly shaming them. It is a forced hand. He is subject to blackmail. So far the media watched his back, covering up for any indiscretion, from his personal hunky valet, shipped to business school, a former star basket ball player to dates with gays, numerous Gay charities, hunks playing ball in the White House while mama Michelle is overseas slumming in designer dresses, or snake dancing in Azania, (South Africa) while he plays, with many gays! He has to oblige for not being honest with the public about who he is, where he came from and his true proclivities are subject to endless threats, and he must accommodate the gay extortionists, the Hollywood celebrities, the fringe lunatic lefty “Anarchists” of which many are flaming queens, and assorted molesters of various indulgences, this is simply a case of new age alien Caligula pressed against the wall with a sharp knife close to his gay neck while he is evolving.

      Over the years GOP HeMen have been GAY or practicing gayness, hence the GOP Log Cabin Republicans (Closet Gays of GOP) Sen. Larry Craig, Rep, Mark Foley, Pastor Ted Haggard (Leader of the National Association of Evangelicals), and the list just goes on and on.

      But Democrats are banking that Republicans will go ballistic about gays and the bible and push the party further to the right, making it exactly the story they want to tell. So we just shouldn’t go ballistic about it.

      And pray Romney doesn’t say something like, “I’d like to come out of the closet myself on this issue.”

    Tuesday, with the results of the various elections Obama knew the news media would spend several days talking about the terrible results. Start with the vote in North Carolina on defining marriage. Being on the losing end of a 60-40 voter split. In West Virginia 40% of democrat voters vote for a convicted felon in prison. In Indiana his favorite republican gets drummed. Then in Wisconsin Scott Walker gets just about the same number of votes as all of the democrats did, while Republicans had no real reason to vote. It was a terrible day, following several weeks of one bad thing after another.

    Obama needed to change the conversation. I am sure he would have preferred to do this in September or October, to get the news media to be glowing over him. I think he saw he was already being defined for the independents and felt he had to change the conversation.

    I thought the Muslims beheaded queers.
    On my local talk Radio, Warren, a black liberal gentleman, who is a regular caller, stated that Obama just sold out the Hispanic’s and Blacks in favor of the white gays.
    Really.
    I nearly died.
    There are so many things wrong with the statement, I have trouble prioritizing them.
    But if Obama is in bed with the queers… hey…

    That is fine with me.

    The sooner this non joker is out of “OUR White House” the better off this Nation will be ..
    With all the problems that face this Nation he can’t seem to zero in on anything axcept this garbage and of course his vacations, golf games, and parties ..
    This President is the perfect example of government welfare ..
