DNC Chair channels Obama’s ‘doing fine’: ‘Happy’ with private sector job growth

During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz channeled President Obama’s infamous “the private sector is doing fine” comment, saying she is “happy” with job growth in the private sector:

Fox News’ John Roberts: “So then is the suggestion that we should just do keep doing the same thing? There’s that old definition of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: “What we should do – well, I’m pretty happy about 28 straight months of job growth in the private sector.”

Roberts: “Are you happy about 80,000 jobs last month, 69,000 the month before that. Are you happy with those numbers?”

Rep. Wasserman Schultz: “Like I’ve said and President Obama has said, we need to continue to improve and we need to do more and we need to work together.”

You can watch Wasserman Schultz’s “happy” comment here.

Wasserman Schultz’s “happy” version of Obama’s “doing fine” comment came just a day after Obama Adviser David Plouffe falsely claimed June’s terrible jobs report is “what everybody expected.”

Both are attempts to resurrect Obama’s failed “doing fine” effort to shrug off the continuing failure to bring unemployment down to the levels used to sell Obama’s failed so-called stimulus.

As you will recall, a month ago Obama had to clarify, but did not repudiate his “the private sector is doing fine” comment, within five hours of saying it.

Obama’s “doing fine” comment created quite a hue and cry. The Romney campaign quickly launched a @ObamaDoingFine parody Twitter site. The RNC put up a YouTube video titled “Doing Fine,” showing headlines highlighting the lousy economy, Obama saying “the private sector is doing fine,” and asking how can President Obama fix our economy if he doesn’t understand what’s broken? And the Romney Campaign released its “Jolt” video using video clips of news broadcasts about the horrific May jobs report, Obama’s “doing fine” comment and asking if there has ever been a president so out of touch with the middle class?

Obama has boxed himself into a corner by admitting we are not better off than we were four years ago and telling NBC, “If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.” He and his Obamacrats will continue to try out outrageous sounding comments about the unemployment numbers until something actually resonates or the numbers finally significantly improve.

… is annoying. “But, it’s great the the Democrats have such an insensitive and crazy spokesperson!” No. We lose IQ points every time she opens her mouth.

Face it , in basic form they were more or less alike. He was much more attractive.

Sick to admit, I enjoy it every time she appears. Like the road kill you just can’t ignore, no matter how scattered-on-the-road it is.
Plus, you can pick up all the latest blathering points the DNC is going to use for a while.

She’s a lesson in what most Americans never want to be, or be near.
If it is anywhere near true that people vote for those like them , what Forms of life inhabit her district?

If this lying fraud currently occupying the white house wins based on propaganda media and mindless talking point robots like wasserman putz, it’ll show America is gone beyond the tipping point of decline.

If that many people are that dumb enough to let a sitting president blame a previous admin for an entire 4 years we are finished.

easy and political campaigns make mistakes in overthinking their ad strategies.

I understand just from reading that the battleground state of Ohio has been flooded with ads and that Obama’s attacks on Mitt’s Bain stuff and his offshore accounts have taken hold.

Here would be my strategy there. In fact, I think my ad campaign in every state I ran ads would almost ALWAYS feature Miss Debbie Wasserman-Schutz and most of the time Ms Nan Pelosi and Mr. Harry Reid (the man with the pedophilic-sounding voice, boys and girls. Behind them would be an omnious picture of Barack Obama, looking Big Brotherish in the background.

More specifically, in Ohio, I’d get a surrogate such as good ole boy Haley Barbour, who, I know, is quite a bright & shrewd .

Then, with an ad directed at blue-collar workers in Ohio, I’d run an ad with DWS , with clips of her fast talking mouth as she runs off about the GOP candidate who is “secretive,” more “secretive” than Nixon. Then, I’d ad a few seconds of the former press spokeman for Obama, Joe What’s His Name, saying the same things.

The ad would feature Haley Barbour standing over tv screen on which these clips would play. He’d be looking at them as they played, shaking his head or wearing a grin. Behind DWS and Joe Gibbs (ah, I recalled his name) there’d be an ominous, Orwellian black and white etching of their leader Barack Obama.

I’d have Haley Barbour watching the few seconds of these two robots making their claims about “secretive.” Haley would be wearing a grin that says what all people think when they look at DWS –this lady is bananas and Joe what’s his name is a stooge getting paid to be a stooge.)

Backtraching here, why would I use DWS at every turn? Because NO ONE CAN STAND HER, not her voice, not her looks, not her idiotic words, not anything. Name me one person, female or male, old or young, democrat, independent, or republican, who can stand a mouth like that, the mouth that NEVER,EVER, EVER shuts up???
She reminds everyone of those late night infomercial salespeople, except….such characertistics are even more off-putting when they come from a female. Women can’t stand her either!!!!

After the short clips play (and I’d have the cameras zero in on Wasserman’s mouth only at times as it flaps, and on Gibb’s fish eyes as he speaks), I’d have Haley say, “Well, looks like Mr. Obama and his Chicago crew sent all his messengers out that day with one message–make people fear Governor Romney. It idn’t gonna work. People of Ohio aren’t dumb like they seem to think you are. (and here I’ll let others run with what Haley says about Romney’s job creation, business experience, and how liberals like Ms. Wasserman, led by Mr. Obama and his Chicago crew want to treat the middle class–making them pay for others who don’t want to work, making people dependent, which is always the goal of the liberals.)

Now, I’d run ads in the same places using as many clips of another person people can’t stand–Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, he with the pedophilic voice (it’s true–ever notice how people think that Harry Reid is a guy Hollywood might cast as a pedophile–”Here, little boy, I have a sucker for you….”.)

Pelosi and Reid are both visually and auditorily CREEPY. The people of Ohio need to see them mouthing democrati rhetoric, again, with the BiG Brother pic of Obama in the background.

And Haley looks at them on the tv screen, then up at the audience and says, “Four more years of them?? Four more years of Pelosi shoving legislation she thinks is “Good for you, legislation she won’t even let you see? Four more years of Mr. Reid, who won’t even pass a budget? Or do you want jobs, jobs that’ll be here NOW and jobs that’ll be here tomorrow and the day after, jobs for your kids as well as you?” Or, are you going to let them run away from their failures to serve you by doing nothing but trying to make you fear someone who actually has created jobs and knows how economics work?” Four more years of these people and all your Governor has done to attract jobs to Ohio will have been for naught. The jobs will dry up again as these people scare away any investors.

You get the idea. WE much use the faces of those for whom people have a visceral distaste–DWS, Pelosi, Reid, etc. In the background is an Obama, hiding from his record.

You’ve got some great ideas there. I wish the Romney folks would see them.

  • califgal

    important in such ads.

I’d have Mitt Romney himself stand in front of a camera, nothing fancy, just Romney talking to the camera about job formation.

I also think that along with Barbour, he himself could be one looking at the clips of DWS and Gibbs and the others who try to make him look “mysterious” and “shady.”

While Mitt is no showman on the stump, in my opinion, that can be a good trait in an election about the competence of a guy you want addressing your future, your job security, or job growth. We don’t need a Barnum and Bailey guy doing schtick about such things.

In fact, I’d have Romney in the ad watching these attacks and then turning to the camera and saying, “This is how they play to secure you a job, a future? This is what they have planned for the next 4 years? Attack, blame, attack, blame, start a whisper campaign, attack blame? These aren’t people who are in government for the right reason. These are people who just want power and are afraid they’ll lose it. These aren’t people who have listened to even ONE idea that the other side offered during the health care debate, during the debate on debt. They’ve taken orders from the head of their party, Mr. Obama, and they’ve turned away at every opportunity from going across the aisle to talk to their fellow senators and representatives about how to fashion legislation that works. Their first two years they listened to no one; the second two years they’ve let a friendly press do their bidding as the economy and the jobs numbers have stagnated and as we have stood on the precipice of an outrigh second recession………”

The other idea I have is for Romney to look a the famous video of Milton Friedman explaining to progressive idiot talk show host Phil Donahue about how capitalism works (the pencil story) and do an based on its principles.

Let the American people see and hear how clueless and detached from economic reality they are…and let the Super PACs do it.

you hear the big sigh from John Roberts as she was closing with getting Romney to give up more tax returns? It was a loud sigh!

At least John pointed out that she needs to compare job records of both candidates in whole and quit cherry-picking. Their latest trick is to chop off the first 14 months of his term and only count employment numbers for the last 28 months.

Get real and Romney should make hay on this. O did the same thing when he claimed he spent less than any other president in history by cutting off his first year again! Lies.

but like they said at the district 23 republican primary debate saturday, its important that no matter who wins, everyone unites behind the winner against DWS.

Lets’ get something straight, most of the failings of the BUSH PRESIDENTS, both father and son, were LIBERAL in nature, not CONSERVATIVE,so the DEMS basically “INHERITED” from the BUSH’S what they wanted from their dead Uncle Sam.

When I hear a Rino say something like,SURE OBAMA INHERITED A BAD ECONOMY,BUT HE HAS FAILED TO FIX IT SINCE 2009,it makes me wanna puke to except that premise? Both BUSH’S too often squandered the nest egg that REAGAN & CO. left them, and CLINTON takes credit for the few times he was forced as a lame duck by Congress back into the Conservatism he did not want any part of. And maybe the DEMS don’t like today what BUSH did via theLIBERAL PERSCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM that WALMART does better than DC,because it conflicts with William Ayers Agenda, to ration away the elderly the DEMS have already discarded via their khmer Rouge/Cuban Style Health Care.

Don’t blame us for the times the BUSH’S “stupidly” experimented with the LIBERALISM you DEMS wanted to inherit for decades? The BUSH’S have always been strong against America’s foreign enemies, like McCain, but too trusting/respectful to our domestic ones.

We had year after year of them complaining about horrible economic numbers, the Jobless Recovery, etc etc etc. Obama’s numbers are far worse why isn’t their at least some attempt to make them eat their words.

Economic facts may be difficult for people not directly impacted by them to grasp. Everyone can recognize a lying hypocrite.

That’s funny, that’s exactly what Jimmy Carter said in 1980..
