Is the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) gunning for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell?
They are obsessed with McConnell and apparently want him very badly. They spend all day every day taking shots at McConnell. Don't take my word for it. Look at the facts. Consider the DSCC twitter feed as well as those of the DSCC's Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and National Press Secretary. Probably 80% of the DSCC's tweets focus on McConnell and more than half of @DSCC tweets focus on whether or not the NRSC tweets about McConnell. Then there are the DSCC's press releases. Twelve of the last 17 press releases the DSCC sent during the month of July have been fixated on McConnell -- that's more than 70%.
The DSCC is so focused on McConnell they leave Democrat incumbents to fight for themselves and still do not have top shelf recruits for Democrat-held seats like Montana, South Dakota, and West Virginia.
The DSCC's singular obsession's singular obsession with McConnell has also affected their map elsewhere. If their super-pacs are underfunded and their map is as large as it is today, on election day they will have their obsession with Kentucky to thank for it.
Shouldn't the DSCC be focused on retaining the now open seats and protecting incumbents -- especially in red states?
