Mika Brzezinski: Are you certain that there are no emails or foundation ties to foreign entities that will be revealed that could perhaps permanently impact your presidential prospects?

Hillary Clinton: Mika, I am sure. And I am sure because I have a very strong foundation of understanding about the foundation … that the kind of work that the foundation has done, which attracted donors from around the world is work that went right into providing services to people. [That’s Hillary speak for their wont be any more emails from my private server because we had wiped, not “with a cloth or something” like she joked about, but with BleachBit. As Trey Gowdy put it, “You don’t use BleachBit for yoga emails or bridemaids emails. When you’re using BleachBit, it is something you really do not want the world to see.”]

As we have said before, neither my Husband, my daughter nor I have taken a penny of salary from the Foundation. [No. not a penny of salary. None of the Clintons is on the payroll, but they do enjoy first-class flights paid for by the foundation. On its 2013 tax forms, the most recent available, the foundation claimed it spent nearly $8.5 million on travel.]

My work as secretary of State was not influenced by any outside forces. I made policy decisions based on what I thought was right to keep Americans safe and protect our interests abroad. I believe my aides also acted appropriately. And we have gone above and beyond most of the charities that I understand, beyond the legal requirements, beyond standards, to voluntarily disclose donors, and also to reduce sources of funding that raised any questions, not that we thought they were necessarily legitimate, but to avoid those questions. [Right. That is why 85 of 154 people from private interests who met or had phone conversations scheduled with Secretary Clinton donated to her family charity or pledged commitments to its international programs. Combined, the 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million. At least 40 donated more than $100,000 each, and 20 gave more than $1 million.]
